Can we break 70 at Moray New Course?

- Welcome to CGgolfs! We're Cam & Georgina, a golfing couple living in St Andrews 🏴
We are currently looking to complete the Old Tom Morris Trail, which is a collection of 18 Old Tom Morris Designed golf courses throughout Scotland We'll be documenting the trail through CZcams in a series of matchplays, scrambles and mixed tournaments! And with living in St Andrews too, there'll be plenty of other golf content alongside our adventures on the Trail⛳
The second course we tackled from the trail was Moray OLD Course, however, we played it in a mixed open in order to reduce costs slightly! This meant we didn't film playing the Old course specifically (and given the weather we got caught in, we wouldn't have been able to anyway!) but we did get out onto the New course the day before. As we were due to play the Old course in a mixed greensome event, we decided to give that a go as a practise round out on the New.
As two +2 handicap golfers, we were aiming to break par. Watch to the end to see what we managed to shoot! Despite getting caught in a storm, we really enjoyed both our rounds at Moray Golf Club and are excited to come back hopefully some time soon!

Great course too! Beautiful this time of year. I thought the yellow plants were broom but Cam told me it is gorse, the spiny stuff 😮. So, rule#1 here, don't hit your ball in the rough
I have the battle scars from going in the gorse haha
Yeah you really have to avoid the gorse hahah - almost 100% lost ball especially with how thick they are on this course!
The weather was insane on that afternoon. Never seen worse hail stones!

We played a tournament on the old course so didn't film it. Love both of the courses there though
We loved both the courses at Moray! But we didn't film the Old since it was in a competition - although it rained so much anyway we wouldn't have been able to get the camera out even if we'd have wanted to😂
How did you get on in the competition?
We struggled a bit - we were a couple under after like 9/10 holes, but then the weather just turned completely. Rain, hail, sideways 40mph winds lmao. Ended up maybe 6 or 7 over, can't remember the exact score but pretty sure we just bogeyed most of the holes in unfortunately
