His eyes twinkle. You can tell he loved playing the piano & joking around. Wish I could play that well !!! Boy, it must have been fun to be at his concerts!
Liberache was one of the the greatest pianists and showman. Remember listening to his music on records my father played. I was so little but the music is in my mind and soul, and this brings back memories of my dad.
Do you hear other pianists play like Liberace did.. I haven’t.. I play piano and I know all the work that goes into it.. Liberace is brilliant.. there will never be another one like him!! Just amazing.. God gifted him.. Rest In Peace Liberace..
@@carolecarr5210 I was 15 when he passed and I remember how horribly he was judged by the media and televangelists. Absolutely total disrespect. I felt so bad for him. To try to get a death bed photo so they could get rich. Sometimes I wonder if capitalism isn’t just total exploitation.......
Liberace is the king of pianos and Liberace will never be forgotten because he was not only a professional piano but a singer and a funny happy man as well and since Liberace has passed away there has not been another person like him on this Earth. The Outfits Liberace would wear and the diamond rings on his fingers the size of almost an half an inch thick There has not been anybody on this Earth that were so kind and generous to others like Liberace. He played his piano like nobody can, and Liberace if you can hear me now I hope your angel wings are as beautiful as your beautiful Fox robe that you had on in your concert.Thank you Liberace! You always will be mended as the crate panelist on this Earth.😄
I love how in those days great artists like Liberace could use their lines over several different shows and they wouldn't be old, unlike today where everyone can see a show minutes after it was finished.
Yes l agree l have been unwell all my life in and out of hospital but did see him live in Croydon Surrey England in 1956 when l was 13 we fans used to send him cards and we got cards back at Xmas l am nearly eighty now lost my husband in 2018 my daughter and his music keep me going happy new year xx
You cannot take anything away from his sheer genius,a true showman in every sense of the word..... What an entertainer,I was spellbound apparently at five years of age kissing him on screen,65 now,and the first time I have watched him in a long long time, wonderful, made me feel happy, and joyfull I will watch him again, much more often........ I'm five again lol ....
He is such a joy to watch and listen to. What I love about his interpretations is that he uses the entire keyboard. So many pianists just play music as written and mostly just use the center most part of the keyboard. He embellishes the music so gloriously. Love ❤️ him love 💕 his performances.
Only get to know Liberace until now. He truly dimmed Clayderman, Maksim, etc. I think some of the decorative passages he played are even comparable to that of Cziffra.
I was 29 then. Remember seeing him on tv as a kid, Thanks showmanlee for sharing this!! Greatly enjoy it and re discovering Liberace, and great real music of better times.
Agree with all of you who appreciate liberaces talent I sick of those Moran's who keep making filthy remarks about him I Tex and tell them so they Tex back say they were joking it says on here keep your comments respectable how can we stop these ignorant Moran's
This was one of great talent with his own vision how to bring classical music to audience snd make it love it . Great person and sensitive sweet man but glorious talent and Unbelievable showmanship he made it his own . He would be remembered forever for his authenticity and lots of people enjoyed such unforgettable performances all over the world , and his approach with kindness to the audience
I'm 50 years old. As a kid, I recall watching Liberace on t.v. I'm just rediscovering him - what a showman and musical genius on the piano ! I love 18:40 by the way!

Thanks a million for another wonderful video. It is marvelous that you find and share these with others. This is another I have not seen, but will many times in the future. I will soon be homebound for medical treatments, and these will help me thru a difficult time/ Bless you again.
What a great upload!!! It is like seeing Liberace in Amsterdam again, during his one-time European tour. But 1983? I saw him on 05 20 1981. Alas, he never returned to Europe. I am sure making millions was easier in the US.
Thanks for uploading this. So many full Liberace concerts are hidden on TV archive tapes in dusty shelves. The offerings on Amazon and eBay are just rehashed stuff we've all seen. I wish broadcasters would offer such concerts for purchase.
ricardo garcia You ain't wrong on that point, brother. I've been on a Liberace mission where I watched every concert, tv show, interview and television appearance and on concerts, he uses the exact same canned jokes and lines literally every single time. I'm not knocking the man; he was hugely entertaining but was not spontaneous at all.
Lellobeetle Reusing the same lines, gags, musical selections, and things like that is common to nearly every performer. They find what works and they stick with it. Liberace would change out the shows by introducing different acts while he was offstage getting into a new costume. He would also sometimes work in new music selections as well, but he had his core package that he stuck with over and over - because it worked!
@10:04 "have you ever seen pink mink ones (balls); LOOK, I got two of them. Have a grab. Here I'll come down- Share it with your neighbor" " Look at that- 2 at at time - she knows how to handle them" SORRY Liberace wherever you are THAT was funny as hell and I know you would be laughing too!!!
liber's museum in las vegas closed about 2010 or so due to expenses and declining attendance. no one wanted so see animal coats and gas guzzling 6 ton rolls' royce cars.
The only thing wrong with Lee was when he wore dead animals. Its sad how he sometimes talks about how many “virgin” minks it takes to make one of his outfits. Lucky for him that PETA had not yet come upon the scene. Other than that one ctiticism, I think the man was wonderful.
He was a great performer and piano player, but very sorry that so many white foxes had to be slaughtered to make that stupid coat. www.gofundme.com/stvincentshome

Brilliant video. Gosh that woman who got up to dance with him must have been so delighted, something she would never forget.

Watching him here in 1983 , hard to believe he only had 4 more years of life left. Makes me think about mortality.

Wish Liberace would not have had the singer on should have played instead piano ?
What was that?
Yes, the one thing that annoys many people about him, was the animal coats, so it is difficult to really like the guy....
