Dual booting windows 11 and kali linux 2023 helps to use both operating systems at the same time. When you turn on your Pc it will ask you to boot in to window 11 or kali linux 2023.1. This way you can run both operating systems on the same computer hassle free. There may be no data loss you will encounter while using this method, although it’s always recommended to back up any important Data from windows 11 just to be on a safer side. IF something goes wrong, you can retrieve the data. Windows 11 Home ..Mint look good feel good I am going to try to put on my hard drive too.
I have a 250gb SSD 8gb hp machine. I created a 65gb partition out of the 80gb free space I have left for the kali. When I start the installation process, I get stuck at the “guided-use the largest continuous free space”. When I choose that, I get the “failed to partition the selected disk. This probably happened because the selected dish or free space is too small to be automatically partitioned” feedback. How do I solve this please?
For those who still facing issues due to the nvidia drivers not properly installed, try adding the nomodeset after the "quiet" rather than simply adding the nomodeset. Then boot into kali and run the commands mentioned in the video

Now another error, once in the kali install menu, installing it, it throws "error: reloc offset is out of the segment" 😢
The guide is very clear and complete, but I want to be 100% sure that there will not be any issue during the installation because I'm going to install Kali Linux on a PC which is not mine. I got a computer with Radeon Graphics on it. Did anybody wirh Radeon or NVIDIA GPUs have bootloop problems during the login? I need to know this so I can install it safely. Thank you in advance :)
hey , the dual booting is awesome but recently i have been facing problem with running heavy softwares on my windows 11 its crashes or freezes alot now a days. idk weather its coz of dual booting but i think its somewhat related to it cause my windows 11 os is freezing and crashing but linux is running fine ,i dont want my windows to be running like this giving poor performance but i also love kali ...can you please reply a solution to this problem so that my windows 11os will not crash and freeze and i also can have kali in dual boot? im sure many are facing it . pls do reply it will help alot.(P.S ; a troubleshoot video will be great on this )

My system storage is not listed on the disk partition phase. Only the boot drive which I connected is listed. I made an unallocated space in windows...
But not any of my system storage is listed

I have a desktop with win11, but is not connected to internet as I still do not have wifi 5g adapter. Can I still do this.
Perfectly done ... Initially faced some problems but the problems were very minor ... Can be turn out to be major if i didn't knew these things before :
1) disk not shrinking problem
2) using wifi for setup problem
3) sometimes the installation of few things remains out ...which I completed by again running the command, this install the remaining things which was not installed intially
4) the terminal use

Really great video❤..but guys just try to turn of your Windows defender and threat settings while creating bootable pendrive..since windows identifies kali ISO as trojan malware ( some windows things 🥶). Then the installation will not fail which happens in some cases…hope everyone does…

This video really help but i had a question. Can the linux store our data i mean if we install something will it be stored in Linux or everytime we shut down it will just get deleted
Once you install any app from store or terminal its will stay forever until the user deletes it manually.

Hi my setup went good but actually before that i had to disable secure boot and fast boot , after everything was good i swtiched to windows and enabled them back now if i try to boot kali , it says valid signature detected, i cant disable secure boot , is there any other option
go to your bios and disable them manually

I can't dual boot windows on my asus tuf dash, only kali linux is there on dual boot grub menu ,windows is not showing there, but windows is showing in bios but i can't boot. Plzz help 😢
First, open terminal as ROOT, the run this command "os-prober", it will detect the Windows boot Manager as you will see on the output. Then, run "update-grub". If it doesnt work, the os-prober option May be disabled on the grub config. Please look up a tutorial in that case.

After successfully installing Kali and restarting the PC it directly to windows login screen. No chance to click other option. Cannot move Kali to priority in BIOS boot menu.

I did the dual boot yesterday.. i did as you told but in kali now i can see my c,d drive data when i type the password . (In files ) . Then i can mount / unmount within the files . Is it normal or the kali is loading my whole files into it . I mean the whole purpose was to separate personal files and work place ..please help me to unmount these permanently, i dont want it to show it in kali..
It's just a normal. Linux can see Windows Partitions. Just forget them. You can unmount them permanently. But I dont recommend it.
On removing Kali Linux on my dual boot I deleted the partitions. Then when I typed the cmd lines I didn't see those partitions what could have happened there?

When I'm booting from the USB, I get this error

Then the grub loader appears but not like shown in your video ( with a good looking interface and Kali Linux's logo and all.." it just show a blue screen with the options on it.

Booted successfully to kali first time and I updated the system then when I restarted, stuck in boot loop😢
There is a way to fix that boot loop. It may confuse you.
its better to reinstall everything.
Always run *sudo update-grub* after updating the kali.
I am getting error while updating system... Error was something like dependencies doesnot met... And then E: broken packages
Run these commands:
sudo apt-get update --fix-missing
sudo apt-get install -f

No need just use BALENA Etcher it will format and make bootable drive automatically.
Additionally, You can also SD formatter tool to format the Drive ...

I can't open my windows 11 now 😢 when I'm restarting my laptop its directly open with kali Linux
Dont worry just boot into Kali linux open terminal
and install this command:
*sudo apt install os-prober*
once its done, open the grub config file
*sudo nano /etc/default/grub*
and uncomment the line *GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER=FALSE* just by removing # at the starting of the line. Then save the changes by pressing *CTRL + O* and press *CTRL + X* to quit.
Then run
*sudo update-grub*
then reboot ..
Now you will see windows 11..

Restart while the screen goes black, using the keyboard shortcut go to boot menu and see if kali boot entry is found and boot from it.

If any BitLocker Encryption is enabled on Windows turn it OFF..and try again
If you are using an ssd that has RST ( Rapid Storage Technology ) it will not show up either, you will have to change this in your bios, it is a very common problem since RST does not support linux as far as i know.
!!!BEWARE!!!
You WILL have to switch to AHCI which will DELETE ALL your files including the windows files, you WILL end up with no OS installed, reinstall windows first then install linux.
There might be other methods I am currently unaware of and might not lead to data loss, do note that dual booting may resolve in data loss in both the operating systems every once in a while.

The grub boot loader was not installed properly. Could you able to boot into Windows 11 using UEFI boot menu ?
If so, watch the last part of the video and remove Kali and reinstall again.

The installer will download all the needed drivers during installation. Make sure your computer is connected to internet.

First Enable secure boot to login windows 11. Then disable bit locker. Once done, you can disable secure boot further.
