Barnham Station is a major interchange station situated in the middle of the west coastway line. Services are run by Southern with First Great Western also supplying some services. Freight is extremely rare.
@DcTrainMovies Surprisingly After 1 Year It Still Is, I Was Coming Home From University For The Weekend And Noticed 3 Doves On The Platform Flying Into The Roof, When I Got On My Train To Littlehampton, I Noticed a Nest, It Was Fascinating. Love Your Videos, I Would Make a Few But I Just Don't Have Time Nowadays :(
The interesting thing about this video is that it must be just before the commissioning of the new Barnham signal box, to replace the one you see in the video. There are lots of "covered up with X" signals and a telephone with an X on it too, meaning it's out of use. The new box opened in January I think, and it's nice in there
Ur are correct my friend! This was near to the completion of the resignalling program, i should really do another one of it now, as the sidings has been changed as well, although i would of liked to have seen the Bognor line connecting through to Chichester. But no they want it all through Barnham!
@daleksec53 Many thanks! Yeah the Doves provide a bit of an atmospheric difference to the place, instead of all the Crow sounds :P Cheers for commenting, its very time consuming and requires alot of money to be invested to get the quality level you want. Barnham also recently have gained awards for outstanding teamwork. I also have a new series in the works, so ull be seeing some better videos in 2011.
Boring isnt it? Lol Only time i found it interesting was when i saw a nest with mummy and daddy looking after its baby doves, the nest was on platform 2 in the middle, dunno if its still there. XD
Great video! Managed to get there myself this morning. A video entitled "Best of Barnham" will be on the way soon hopefully.

Thanks, It doesn't have ticket barriers closest one to having them is Chichester.

The new signaling centre opened on 8th November 2008.

That has no barriers and uses guards at stations instead due to penalty fares.
