Here I break down how to install velocity stacks and what you can and can't remove.
Short answer: you can remove anything that's not coolant or fuel! "Professor" TJ breaks down what he'd remove vs. leave on a Honda Shadow and offers a brief science + history lesson for all you newbs out there.

While this is interesting, a complete stock-to-mod walkthrough around a bike, including carb disassembly and rejetting would definitely help selling those puppies. I'm sure that I'm not alone with zero mechanic experience, but willing to give this a shot if I had such a guide available.

Great video! Just bought your velocity stack for my VT750. The guy that I bought it from has already installed a set of jets, runs fine but It pops during deceleration- should I look at the jets or leave it alone? It has the long fuel mixture screw also. So I have a 1993 Honda Vlx 600 and that line your talking about in the beginning was pushing so much air into my carb it was preventing my carbs from working properly!! It wouldn't start with this connected! I put straight pipes on and it will need re-jetted. I'm sure that may have something to do with it.

Great motorcycle and to me, it’s a never ending love story because I love everything about it but enough of that. I saw that you mentioned topics like; fuel, spark, compression, change of wires (which caught my attention right away) and last but not least, the boots! Been thinking about this topic for a while but I’m no expert and I was wondering if you could suggest me some products that I can apply ti increase more performance. Thanks!

From what I understand from reading the blog posts on his website is that the stock airbox offers the best airflow because it isn't turbulent. Cone and pancake filters cause a lot of turbulence which will suck power because the lack of smooth airflow diaturbs the air/fuel mixture. I may be wrong about that so I recommend reading the posts on his website.
