We didn’t miss to feel this magic, while shouting the name “WACKEN" out loud on stage or while looking around and seeing thousands of people, at peace, loving being there and sharing this together.
It was very special to us again, as if it wasn’t our first time playing WACKEN. We got overcome with emotion several times during the show. There was so much we wanted to say. We felt empowered as a artists and human beings. WACKEN is ones of these grounds where you feel you can change the world. Watching this crowd and talking to them on that very day felt like never before and we will remember it forever.

The more VOA the better I say. Clementine does such an amazing live performance. I feel the studio versions although wonderful just don't show what she is capable of. She shines on the live stage!
Exactly. She even sings mikeless (thus also reverbless) during the accoustic set at the VIP sessions. No cheating possible. Who else would dare?
@@mysticaloha Agreed. I went to the Meet and Greet/Acoustic set at their London show a few months ago, and was taken aback that she just...sang! No microphone, so as you say no possibility of any cheating at all. And, having then watched the full show I can confirm that she really does sing as well on stage as she does here: no one's given her voice a sneaky tweak in post-production! Clementine's wonderful and absolutely the real thing.

agreed, she "plays" her role of pirate queen very well and the interactions on stage between members are entertaining, and she sounds awesome live, great band!
She can definitely sing. As proven in her performance of Save Us with Kai Hansen years ago. Amazingly raw and powerful vocals. Hope to see more of that power in future performances.
For me, Clementine is really one of the best alongside Tarja, Floor and Simone ! A great voice, powerful, and an incredible stage presence. Of course, I don't denigrate the rest of the band which is excellent. But she is a gift just like Floor was for Nightwish. Since she joined the band, VOA has only gotten better. I missed them at their last show in Belgium, but I hope to see them very soon !
check out scardust from israel. i swear, they do nightwish better than nightwish. their lead singer belongs with the 4 awesome ladies you already mentioned. me personally, i'm a "tarja forever" person but i think epica is my favorite symphonic band. VOA has an edge with dual awesome vocals so they have the potential to rule. so i will be following them and also frozen crown from italy. that lady has a wonderful voice too. rock on!
@@jjrusy7438 I discovered Scardust quite recently, I don't know him very well yet, but I like him a lot! I knew it thanks to the collaborations of the singer with Amorphis. Indeed, she is also a great singer! On the other hand, the few songs I know for the moment make me think more of progressive metal than symphonic metal.
I only know Frozen Crown by name, but I really have to listen to them, thanks for reminding me ;)
@@psychopad584 i bought the amorphis "tuonela" CD from a used-CD store because the name sounded cool. WOW!. that was the best random buy of my life. that is one of my 10 most favorite albums. i love the sound of amorphis. you have very good taste in music. rock on!

I love it when Clementine goes operatic. Her voice just shines in a completely amazingly unique way. They sound so good with an orchestra too. I can appreciate their vocals better as it is drowned less by the instrumentals. Also, amazing stage presence by the lead singers. Hope they keep this current lineup for years to come as it has made VoA soar to heights it never achieved before. As I watch their live performances more and more I am growing to really root for this band.

Amazing how the right line up can evolve a band. VOA was one of those bands back in the day that was alright but didn't stand out compared to others. But the band persevered thanks to their original drummer and now look at them. This line up is magic. They are now one of the most exciting bands in the genre and definitely one of the best right now.

It doesn't say anywhere in the title or the description that this is from Wacken.
The video description is entirely focused on the then-upcoming live album from Wacken. There is no mention anywhere of when *this particular performance* was.
I can see how several people could misunderstand, but there is nothing saying this performance was at Wacken, or any other venue.

They are not underrated in any way. VOA is at the place it should be now. They walk the path of legendary bands like After Forever, Nightwish, Sirenia, etc... The bar is just too high. But with time, their talent will certainly lead them higher, it's obvious the commitment and dedication.

Just wow. That performance was incredible! I love how Clementine did all the accent singing from the song throughout; it really gave her a chance to show what a strong operatic voice she has, executed perfectly live! Gotta give love to Michele too! The chemistry of these two singers is amazing. I also love how he played with some different voice distortions in this performance. Can't wait for this live album. 🤘

Clementine has a marvellous voice! Tarja Turunen took her as a backing vocalist in her Best of DVD so this signifies Clementine's qualities.

Nightwish is the biggest symphonic metal band by far when it comes to popularity but it seems they're the only one that never played live with an orchestra. I never understand that.

What a beautiful performance! I've been a fan of VoA for years. I love their orchestration and I love how expressive Clementine and Michele are on stage. I love how well VoA's metal instrumentation blends with the symphonic string section. Just overall beautiful music!

Been listening the latest record very much. It was actually on my top 10 list last year. And as I listen music A LOT, that was quite an achievement. How magical was that, orchestra did wonders to an already great song. Top drawer performance !
Visions has smitten me lately at their show in Hannover (Germany) on April 21st '23. They rock this small location and the people there with a great show. Thank you very much for this awesome evening! I will observe their way and I'm looking forward for further albums and live shows. I hope they stay in this band-composition!
