    2. Create a financial plan: Make a list of goals. Your financial goals should be specific, measurable & have a timeline associated
    3. Create a strategic plan to pay off debt: Your plan should focus on getting ahead of interest that is compounding
    4. Start putting money aside for emergencies: Start with $1,000 to $1,500 which can cover the most basic emergencies
    5. Create a budget: Having a budget is you telling your money what to do
    6. Focus on living below your means: This means being intentional about spending less than you earn. Become a savvy shopper, finding ways to save, finding items on sale, etc Reflect on your previous spending. There's no shame in living frugally. It's not about being cheap it's about being intentional
    7. Find ways to increase your income & create multiple streams of income: There's only so much you can cut in your budget
    8. Start investing: Investing is how you grow your money. You can invest in the stock market, in real estate, in business, etc

Thanks to 2020, I officially learned what it means to experience a Life Event. Thanks to Audible, I discovered you and thanks to big life changes, I discovered investing without debilitating fear. I started in late March and now I'm deep diving into Budgeting. Thanks ma'am for sharing your knowledge with us. I felt so inspired that I started to document my journey in CZcams. Hopefully I can impact my family and friends to build towards generational wealth as you've impacted me. You're the best! Thanks!

Bola, in 2020 I discovered you and was inspired to finally start actively saving and investing. I am in a high cost of living city and want to buy a home and sometimes it feels impossible. I plan to keep saving but often feel discouraged. When I feel that way, I look at the CGF feed and your CZcams videos and feel inspired.

These are great and measurable goals to focus on in the new year. I personally will focus spending mindfully and living below my needs, contributing more towards my emergency fund, investing more, and asking for a raise at work. It’s important to keep in mind what Bola says at the end: life happens so we cannot get discouraged if things to go as planned; we must continue with our goals.
