For the did not finish, you may want to include the reason why. Permitting yourself to put a book aside is important. Not all books warrant your time and attention.
I also keep a list of books that I might want to read. There is no pressure to read them all, but very handy when I am looking for the next book.

Reading journals are so fun! Thank you for sharing yours with us. I really liked the paper, sticker, and color choices you made throughout.
I personally use my future log to track upcoming releases, movie/tv adaptations, and upcoming readathons.
Also, I was so nervous when I “spoke I to the universe” that my goal was 100 books in a year, and I ended up reading 145 😅. So it’s definitely possible.
I love the lamppost you made for the book travel spread. I went with a globe, but I will be adopting your lamppost for next year. So cute!
The mini cookbooks!!! What an adorable way to commemorate your collection. And agree, church cookbooks have the best recipes.
Great job! Would love to see an end of year flip through.

I LOVE this!!!! One of the most creative reading journals I have seen with sections I have not considered (such as the travel spread) and the cookbooks spread - wonderful!!! I hope you will share updates here and there. Thank you!!!!!

First of all, what a fun idea! I’ve seen a lot of reading journals, but this one knocks it out of the park. Your introductory page is stunning! In fact, all of the pages are such eye candy, it must be a lot of fun to work in. Also, thanks for introducing us to this particular brand of journals I’ve never heard of before. They are quirky, fun and have so much potential. Another great video! Thank you!

I’ve never READ Anne of Green Gables but I certainly remember watching the mini series on VHS with my sister when I was younger and I wanted to rewatch it over the summer. But, I’ll likely read it as well.
Thanks for sharing! Love the journal setup.

What a great inspirational reading journal. You are so talented! This is something that I'm looking to incorporate for 2024.

    Ideas:
    - fun fact page with e.g. which books were released on your birthday? Who (author) was born/passed away on your birthday? Where was the first Sherlock Holmes story published? Which books predicted the future?
    - best books to fall asleep to
    - best audiobooks to listen to while working on a DIY project
    - list of books best read in summer (add lists for the other seasons)
    - my hot bath readings
    - list of authors I'm a fan of (and want to check out other books or series by them)
Year at a glance: - renewal of subscription
    - birthday of someone and the book you want to gift them
    - bookshop sales dates
I like to read free ebooks, often the first book in the series, on Kobo or Kindle (no subscription like Kindle Unlimited needed). A good way to try out new authors or series.

Loved your journal and would love an update as your read your books and add more entries to your journals! I am currently reading “The Last Lecture”. And just finished “Water for Elephants”.

First of all, the inside page of the journal is absolutely stunning. I love, love, love it.
My year at a glance is expandable due to being a table in OneNote. In mine I have noted release days of the authors I collect the series from (will buy them on that day, I can't wait 😅) and I also try to log, when I read which book (with mediocre success, I often forget).
I set up my reading journal last year sometime in July, I think. Since then I have had over 40 entries of books or anthologies I've read in the meantime. Including the full length novels in the anthologies I have read over 80 books in total. Additionally I started setting up pages/sections for books I already read and some I plan on reading in the future.

If you haven't done anything with the future log yet, what about favourite author's birthdays, upcoming book release or cinema adaption dates you're looking forward to, or (lined with different colours) tracking what book was read when? Say it takes you 6 days to read a book, you'd use the felt to mark those days, then put a dot below in that colour, and write what book it was. By the end of the year it could be an "everything to see in 1 place" visual of what you did this year. :)

If you are loving the ACOTAR series you need to add Crescent City to your list (also by SJM)
