- I do not like Dokkan, However these animations have been an absolute joy to watch and my interest in the game has actually never been higher! If this video is recieved well enough you can definitely expect another one soon.
Also I know the video may stutter twice towards the end, I apologise for this it is due to my streaming software providing issues for me, I managed to sync the audio and video as best I could to greatly reduce this which made this the hardest part to make! Hopefully it turned out enjoyable enough.

@@zero38xt Big celebrations usually stick to a theme, but the monthly normal events can baffle you. Case in point: Earlier this year we had a Dokkanfest Kale that transforms from Berserk to SSJ2.
Her part 2 LR was Super Buu. As in, Buu Saga Super Buu at Kami's Lookout.
Sometimes Dokkan makes sense and sometimes it doesn't.

Ssj4 Goku is a 2023 unit with the newer standby mechanic hence why he switched into Uub for a bit. The standby has a charge mechanic that if you don't max out will heal you and you go back to standard Ssj4, but if you get full charge you change into Full Power Ssj4 Goku who gives you a full heal and becomes one of the strongest units in the game
The heal is actually 77% though.
I couldn't remember the actual heal percent, so thank you.
Part 4 is finally here! I had a few issues with the video freezing throughout the stream so I had to sync up new visuals to accompany the original audio so hopefully it turned out ok. Like, comment and subscribe to show your interest for more parts!
By the way, I hope you continue to enjoy these videos because i've been setting up for something special for the people who want me to eventually play the game. How dokkan releases units goes like this:
Each celebration goes by a certain theme ex: tournament of power, cell saga, GT, fusion, etc. and then the next get units based on the theme of the celebration.

The answer to your question about unit releases is that monthly units are completely random. But for major celebrations like Christmas/New years, Anniversary or WWC throughout the entire celebration it's one maybe two sagas done(except the 8th Anni). Though this year has had questionable choices
So for the Uub confusion in the game there some called a standy skill is an active skill but a little diferrent, once u use it you change into Uub to charge up, thats also why there were powerups one where Pan dosent show up and the one she does when she shows up it means you got the 30 orbs if you dont he stays as normal ssj4

The reason why Uub is there is because you standby into him while Goku gathers energy to transform into FPSSJ4 (The red glow aura) and in the game Uub is tanky AF

For the rose goku black, you will definitely love the lr int unit for him. His animations are insane.
As for super vegito, unfortunately there's only one unit of him that has really good animations and it's the lr str unit.
Lastly for God goku, in my opinion, the best one is the lr int God goku. His animations are pretty sick.

For monthly celebration it's usually quite random, for big celebration it's arc/theme focus.
The last WWC were "Future Saga" arc with theme "Connect", hence both major unit were potara characters. This year anniversary (back in Feb) were "Spirit Bomb" theme, hence both major units were the 2 biggest Spirit Bomb of the show

12:30 Yeah, it's so cool to see FighterZ represented here, like the Videl and Gogeta ones you've seen already. Technically there are 3 units in Dokkan who are based from DBFZ specifically; Android 16 and both Good and Evil Android 21. Their SAs reference moves from the game, but the animations are rough since they were brought on early in Dokkan. (Seeing 16 do an air combo -> dunk -> level 3 is still so sick tho)
There's also a DB Yamcha and Cell one that references their Level 3s.
Also that Vegeta -> Goku unit is my favorite OST from the game, the intro is beautiful

The reason why the put Uub is that in the anime, Goku was getting energy from the other saiyans but he or the other saiyans couldn’t move or it would mess up and that’s why Uub appears so he would tank the attacks while Goku recovers and gets stronger.

No clue if someone already posted this but the SS4 Goku deal is;
A new mechanic from this year standby skills
In this case Uub comes in for 4 turns and basically tanks all attacks aimed at Uub.
Then the ki orbs you grab on the turns charge the standby if you use it again with 29 or less ki orbs grabbed in before the 4th turn, you get the first animation you saw healing you for 30% of your HP.
If you get 30+ you transform into full Power SS4 Goku (the 2nd set of animations)
The 8 year anniversary unites also have this mechanic but for a spirit bomb instead

To answer one of your questions. Its not arc by arc. The way you are watching the videos super attacks is going in order of release. So we had saiyan saga themed celebration with ssj goku, full power frieza, saiyan saga vegeta, and Gohan and krillin. Which was followed by cabba and kefla from tournament of power. So the saga they choose can sometimes be completely random.

You really need to see the Units from the 5th Anniversary - Lr Gogeta Blue and Lr Vegito Blue

For the SSJ4 Goku, he’s one of the units who have something called a standby skill. A unit that has this are the 8th anniversary units. For an example, the 8th Anniversary Majin Buu Saga Goku and Vegeta have a standby skill. Goku charges the spirit bomb while you switch to Vegeta. In some standby skills, you can’t attack, but you have an insane amount of defense. For that character (and SSJ4 Goku, kinda) you have to get a specific amount of ki orbs to be able to fire off the standby. If you don’t get enough orbs, you still fire off the spirit bomb, but it’ll be significantly weaker. If you get the maximum amount of ki, it’s way more powerful, and you get a special animation. It’s like that for SSJ4 Goku. If you don’t get enough orbs, he doesn’t get an insane buff, but if you get enough ki orbs, he’s INSANELY POWERFUL.
(One last thing, when Uub takes control, he has an INSANE amount of defense, and he can NULIFY some attacks. In Dokkan, some animations you see are called Super Attacks. Those are the ones without voices. There’s different types for those, like melee, some that use weapons, and ki blasts. Uub nullifies melee super attacks.)

Just about every release is planned seeing as we get new units around the same time every year. Some are major celebrations while others are just one off units. Major celebration will get 3 parts (with new units being added in part1 and 2 ) while one offs will sometimes get a part 2.
Whenever units drop there will be a theme around it but these themes don’t have to go in order. For global players World Wide just ended which was based on Future Saga and our one of unit after that event was Turles.

Bassicly, ssj4 goku uses a “Standby” skill which transforms him to uub. Once you get enough ki, the uub unit will no longer standby and goku will begin fighting but as full power goku.
Yeah people have been explaining. Actually a pretty interesting concept for a mechanic
They only focus on certain arcs for celebration. Ssj goku, fp frieza, the vegeta that dies, and the gohan and krillen we’re part of the worldwide celebration of that year. For the most part every 2 weeks you get a dokkanfest and you get a random moment from an arc. Most of the times the upcoming banner after the dokkanfest is related to the same theme
Dokkan has basically shifted orb popping out of the game, it's basically just a system to randomize how much Ki each character gets now. The main strategy of the game comes from deciding what you can do to have the best chance to survive each turn as possible, and each unit usually has some unique mechanic about them that makes them work differently to the others. SSJ4 Goku here confused you because he has a newer mechanic - standby, which allows him to temporarily exchange with Uub while he builds up charge counters, before being able to use his Finish Skill on the next turn. In his case, the Finish Skill transforms him into Full Power, but the other characters with finish skills are usually spirit bomb like attacks. The game actually has a surprising amount of strategy, although it is 99% RNG. If you get 3 characters who all need to attack in order to get defense, and the boss is attacking a million times in the first slot, before anyone gets a chance to attack, you're basically dead. I would recommend the game, because as countless others have said, it really only requires you to play for a few minutes to do your dailies every day, and you only actually have to play the game when you want to. 99% of the game's content can be auto-moded, so the only thing you actually have to do is the difficult fights, which are the main things the game revolves around. They keep adding more, so there's a big backlog of stuff to do.

Ok so with the SSJ4 part with Ubb coming in to defend is called standby. Some characters like this Goku with standby, switches to pure defence and doesn’t attack (some characters can still attack with standby though). You have to collect enough of the ki spheres in a certain amount of turns to get the full effect. For this Goku if you don’t get enough you don’t transform into the full power mode where he glows red.
Other characters with standby mode:
SSJ3 Goku and SSJ2 Vegeta duo
GT Goku and SSJ4 Vegeta duo
Sword of hope trunks
And a F2P Babadi
I forget if there’s any more.
All the ones I mentioned except Trunks is from 8th anniversary, while Trunks is part of the world wide celebration where that Vegito blue with the Dokkan original animation is also from. Half corrupt Merged Zamasu and a Future Gohan with a Dokkan original animation is also part of the same world wide celebration you should check out.

For the lr ss4, the reason our saw 2 different transformaion ks because you need a certain amount of bubbles popped as uub to be able to transgorm into the full power version, otherwise you just revert to normal ss4

we just got a new future gohan with that sick agl vegito, he also has dokkan only animation which the community really liked. Also, that future gohan with trunks, his revive skill was made to be used the same turn as he enters, it is like "gohan goes into the battlefield weak, but then he dies and throws everything he can" it is his core mechanic, to die and get stronger.

Imagine he sees Fan made dokkan animations from RGminesky Especially the Manga Hakai blue Goku and fused LR Vegito animation but classic truly is a treat 👌.
For the future gohan and future kid trunks card , gohan knocked out trunks because he didn't wanna take the chance the androids would kill him , and he went alone vs the androids him knowing he wasn't gonna defeat them , but he atleast wanted to destroy one of them so that trunks would have it easier vs only one android , but we all know how that ended 😢
INT Transforming Goku Black is an older unit but his animations are amazing. Phy God Goku is amazing as well

Every non major celebration they pick a character/character's and make a celebration around them, latest JP Celebration is the Android 18 and 17 campaign from the ToP and for Global we got Turles, usually we get one new Dokkanfest unit and up to two banner units, almost all celebrations also have Extreme Z Awakenings (EZAs) that make old/outdated units usable again.
For major celebrations they pick a theme and make the whole celebration around that theme, the most recent major campaign (Worldwide Celebration) was around Future and Hope, the 4 major units were LR Goku and Vegito/Vegito Blue and LR Half Corrupted Zamasu for part 1, and for Part 2 LR Future Gohan and LR Sword of Hope Trunks, we also get a shit ton of EZA, stones and new content.

14:47 the reason we only have one armed gohan recently in games is because of a ww2 law that would forbid missing limbs in Japanese media since it could apparently trigger the ptsd of ww2 vets
The law only got abolished recently hence why we now have one armed gohan back in games
some of these animations hit different when they are in 2 times speed plus it seems more units nowadays the animations are meant for double speed

@@zero38xt It's very complicated, honestly. but, when he first released, there were many issues involving his kit.
@@zero38xt in base form he has a lot of additionnal attack, which is perfect to have more defense... but when he's in SSJ, his additionnal kit is replaced by critical hit chance... so you're like "oh nice, I hit harder" but not really because you're going to make like only 1 attack, while in base form you're going to make at least 3 or 4 attacks, so even with no crit the base form is stronger 🥲
yes, sometimes the devs fail a character for no reason
To round out some characters apart from the ones you asked for, LR gt Goku and ssj4 Vegeta, LR teq Fusion Zamasu, LR agl Goku, and LR int Gohan. The last two are based on the intros for z and kai.

For Super Vegito, you need to watch the animations for the LR STR Goku and Vegeta from the Buu Saga. They fuse into Vegito and the animations are beautiful!
Alright, so for the characters you asked for at the very end of this video:
PHY Super Saiyan God Goku, which is from this year's Saiyan Day celebration, has hands down the best animations for that particular form as of now. Honorable mention goes to LR INT Super Saiyan God Goku.
Goku Black hasn't been so lucky when it comes to Dokkan, as his best looking animations are a bit dated, but there's INT Goku Black that transforms into Rose, and his transformed Super Attack animation is the better one from the two he has. There's also LR INT Goku Black Super Saiyan Rose that has somewhat decent animations (still a bit better than the previous unit I mentioned).
For Super Vegito, you want LR STR Goku and Vegeta (Angel), which fuse into Super Vegito. One of his animations is very nicely translated from DBZ Kakarot to Dokkan Battle.

For SSG goku there are 2 units with really good animations, first is the LR int ssg goku and then the phy tur ssg goku from this year. With goku black there are also 2 units with decent animations which are the LR int rose goku black and the int tur goku black (they are both kind of old characters from 2020 and 2018 but their animations still hold up really well), and for vegito there is one that has some fire animations which are the LR str goku and vegeta (angel) which fuse into vegito.

For the units you listed; There are 2 good (both looking and kit wise) god gokus, Phy god goku and Int LR god goku. For goku black there is one viable one, LR rosé, and one other good looking one, Int goku black. There is only one good looking super vegito, str goku and angel vegeta, but they arent useful anymore as they are 3 years old (they are coming up on an eza soon though, which will make them good again). As a recommendation for a unit to look at, I say LR str future gohan, his animationa are great and theres even something he has thats original to dokkan.
that SSJ4 goku at the final part is one of the best units in the game, he goes from ssj4 to Uub and then goes to his full power ssj4 form, he comes past mid november

Look for "PHY SSJ GOD Goku", "INT Goku Black" (and/or LR TEQ Fusion Zamasu, wich is the counterpart to the Blue Vegito on the second episode, because that base form Goku Black is pretty old but with decent animations), "LR STR Goku and Vegeta (angel)" that fuses in Super Vegito.
I know they're not part of the characters that you asked for, but check out "LR PHY SSJ3 Goku and SSJ2 Vegeta" 's and "LR STR Goku (Kid) and SSJ4 Vegeta" 's animations. You will love them, trust me!

imo you can begin the game now, and on globale version of course (it's better to understand what you do if you're a beginner lol)... there is actually nothing to do in the game (it was the 8th Anniversary in July AND the Worldwide Celebration in August/September so it's normal...), but it's perfect for you : you can play slowly, begin to understand the game, cards effects (revive, standby skill, active skill...), farm the ds (dragon stones, to summon), farm f2p units... and end of november it's Tanabata, an annual Japanese celebration, and for the occasion it's the release of Goku SSJ4 (who is one of the 3 best card in the entire game)

As an honourable mention, not really in terms of hype but more for randomness, you should look for "dokkan battle story mode" and click on the unit it shows up (I don't want to spoil it by saying the name but when it was revealed, the community's reaction was just hilarious)

@@zero38xt you'd be so surprised with the story mode thing and I bet your reaction will be hilarious. Also Babidi is just such a cool card that had so much more potential (they fumbled him a bit imo). I'll spoil something to you, when it comes to the standby skill, it's a recent feature that can be very similar to the active skill, but only temporary. Just like with the active skill, the character either transforms, switches with another, powers up or attacks and the temporary part is usually so they can charge something, either an attack, or a transformation (like the full power ssj4 you saw). Depending on your progress, within the time you're given, different things happen, such as animations, damage done and so on (ssj4 goku, for instance, does not go full power if you don't succeed in fully charging him during the standby). During charging standbys, some characters can't even attack and are forced to take a defensive stance (Uub for ssj4 goku's standby). Now with that known, imagine what Babidi does with his standby so you'd be prepared when you see him (don't keep your expectations too high tho because he is a free to play unit and he came out when the standby skill was in it's infancy, it still is to a degree). Btw not all standbys are for charging tho 🤭. Have fun!

so to explain ssj4 goku. basically he has a ability called standby. where goku powers down and you switch to uub who is pure defense and cant attack. and you can collect ki with uub. and eventually transform into the supercharged ssj4 goku you saw there
