Is The Challenger Faster Than a Cammed 114

  • In this episode of Baggers and Bull Shit I meet up with a few of the guys I ride with and we do a few low speed tests of the 23 Indian Challenger and a Cammed 21 Roadglide Special, (475 S&S) with a Bassani shorty pipe, PV tuned. Along the way we grab a bite to eat and of course talk about Baggers and Bull Shit as usual. To close out the video I give my opinion and view of how the Challenger stacked up against at the Road Glide Special.

    Dude on the Harley jumped the start at every roll on. He knew what he was up against and never once let it be a fair start.

      Watch, tacos, Beers and Harley gets put to the test again. You’ll see a fair run. It was two good runs.

    Not sure what happened, but I know I definitely would have smoked that HD on my challenger. I have stage one intake and stage two cams and I’ve smoked every road glide that ever tried to race me in California

      He’s got a 475 Cam. I was just stage 1 with card tune. I had him though. And i weigh 330 at the time vs he’s like 200

    Man, you guys were killin it up 23... And you had some good food @J&S!
    Bought my first Indian last year (2018 Springfield) and absolutely love it.. Rode Harley's for about 40 years. Personally for me, I don't think I'll go back.

      Ty for the watch. Yea i love my Indian and my Harley. I definitely feel that the Indian is a better bike out of the box. However i just got the new CVO to compare to my Indian and it might be a game changer for Harley. Cost is another issue.

    If the Indian Challenger had an ECM tune from Llyods Performance, after market two into one exhaust and high-flow air filter, the distance between the Road Glide and the Challenger would be a whole lot farther away.

    • @Baggersandbs
      @Baggersandbs  Před rokem +1

      Farther or closer? To be honest, I think if I had a tune, I would’ve been neck and neck, even though he never really gave me a fair start.

      @@Baggersandbs---> I have 128-inch Road Glide Ultra and my friend has an Indian 108-inch Challenger with a set of modified mufflers I made for his Challenger, Llodys Performance ECM tune, and high flow air filter and the only way I can beat him is if we do a roll on in 5th gear at 75 mph and 80 mph and he is right on rear end up to 90 mph and then his Challenger pulls ahead of my HD because the wind drag of the rear trunk and front lowers. From a stop in 1-3 gears his Challenger is like a rocket compared to my 128-inch Road Glide Ultra.

      @Baggersandbs  Před rokem

      @@dnewman3402 well i mean i totally believe that, it’s crazy how much power these challengers make. And it feels like it revs higher than the HD. I think if i had LLoydz tune i would have been way closer. And prob would have even pulled on him. But stay tuned more comparisons to come. With a bit more controlled starts so we can get a more accurate test completed and really see what’s what.

    i have had a built harley road glide and race plenty of harley 117 cammed and 114 and never lost or them ever close from any gear. now own 23 challenger with just stage one. it has more hp and torque than any harley i built . my harley would stage 2 cams hp cams would only get 107 hp tops

    • @Baggersandbs
      @Baggersandbs  Před 10 měsíci

      That makes total sense, my Indian just has the card tune. It’s a 2023 so they haven’t been able to get into the computers yet. I believe that once I get it properly tuned with the Lloyds tune, I would easily pull away.
