- Professional investors demand more data than private investors, including IP, corporate governance, data room, minutes from meetings.
- When patenting, focus on the smallest claim set and then expand.
- It is a good sign if investors demand an FTO analysis, but they should pay for it.
- In the beginning, it's normal that positions in the company are part-time or for hire. After financing is secured, people join the team.
- A Chief Business Officer can bring great value.
- Look in your network for hires, or employ a recruiter (expensive).
- You cannot over-communicate with the team.
- Communicate transparently with the stakeholders.
- Investors don't like surprises.
