Its amazing to see the "no fear" trait in action with the vacuum cleaner. Any other breed would have been out of there in .05 seconds.

i have two; one doesnt mind the vacuum, but the other is terrified of it. She sprints to me and hides lol

my ragdolls took "no fear" too far when they jumped into a cooking oven that I left open when trying to remove my cookies.
We had a huge Blue Siberian who was so chilled out. When he was sleeping on the lawn, he wouldn't move even for the petrol lawnmower.
We used to have to mow round him.
Then as soon as we put the mower away, He would get up and walk off leaving a patch of cat shaped long grass..!
Ragdolls are absolutely an amazing breed! So sweet, affectionate, playful (but calm), and gentle. A house just isn't a home without a Ragdoll!

@@rexandskyinthecity - As with dogs, Vets will usually say don't play with them when they are babies with your hands as a toy. They will naturally assume and grow up to be biters because ppl have played with them using their hands as toys. It's hard not to do b/c we pet them with our hands so play comes naturally. I never had a biter cat or dog, mostly because I think it's important for all animals to know you are the "Boss Kitty" and like the mother cat or dog, would not allow such bad behavior. If you let any pet walk all over you, they naturally lose respect of you.
Kitty has no fear of the vacuum mine runs and hides.

My oldest of 3 is only 1 not afraid of a vacuum. The younger ones run and hide until I turn it off. it's amazing how your furry bandit is so confident and adorable!
Yes I find it very interesting because he is only 5 months old. You would think just the noise of the vacuum would scare him off but nope! Lol

Even afraid of a hair blower(?) Nope, not just that. EVERYTHING.
We're trying to train him to be comfortable of other noise but he's just too afraid. Also, he runs away when there's another man he doesn't know.

These cats are the most precious little kitties in the world!!!! I have 2, and my husband and I are total fools over them!! They are our babies!!!!! (Yes, we have had children too, and grandchildren!) Ragdolls are an adorable breed of cat!! We would not take ANY amount of money for either one of them!!!!

My 12 yr. old Ragdoll also passed away a few days ago. I, too, miss him so much. I feel your grief.

my rag doll is 10 years old and LOVES to tear up our shoe pile at the front door. she also loves to run through the house FULL SPEED screaming at all hours. Our bathroom door has never shut properly so it’s always a surprise when a guest is doing their business and my cat busts down the bathroom door full speed.
i’m pretty sure my ragdoll’s brain was replaced with a walnut shortly after birth
but i still love her haha

Glad I'm not the only one who has midnight madness . I keep several soft (ish) objects bedside to throw at noise. If I do go after her, she walks tantalizingly slow till I get close enough to wring her neck & she sneaks under the coffee table! Then, if I dare return to my warm bed, the bed scratching starts, but only after I'm back in the land of Nod. Unfortunately, my ideas of revenge are against the law, but I bet the judge would give me a medal after first-hand experience of my night.
Makes me remember... My kitten had a problem in her brain and because of that it didnt work how it should’ve been we tried everything we could but she got worse and worse and in her last moments she looked at me it felt like she looked at my soul and slowly i saw her eyes die but i knew shes in a better place now without pain or problems to deal with. Rest In Peace pamok!

Rex and Sky In the City i know she was such a active comrade until she started getting sick i miss her everyday. I wonder if she wouldve looked the same as your cat she was pure white and her fur just started changing. She was the same breed. The worst of all was the breeder denied all and he threatened us with the police.... it was inbred the doctor said.
Awww, 😢😢😢 I heard that Ragdoll kittens may have problems... I was a little nervous when Sky was a kitten as well. Have you thought of getting another kitten/cat to help you with healing? Our previous cat got ran over and it was very heartbreaking and that is why we got Sky, our Ragdoll, he has been a joy in our family and has helped us heal from the pain of loosing our cat.
Rex and Sky In the City i dont think i can handle it loosing a kitten again it was so tough i was really bound to her she was the best cat i ever had. Maybe i will adopt a cat in need and foster.

Anjali, talk to your dad about a Siberian Kitty. Offer to research the breed with him. That breed has the appearance and the qualities of the Ragdoll cat except that instead of a double coat they have a triple coat and are hypo-allergenic or as much as is possible.

Yep, that's my Sascha right there.. Her sister, the Siamese is still constantly in awe, we both are.. She is truly the sweetest most spontaneous bundle of joy and love. She brought light into our lives and hearts.
My family lost our ragdoll last year in October, miss her so much. She was the best cat. We still have a ragdoll and maincoon mix though and her temperament is very much of a ragdoll.

Ragdolls are really the coolest cats. Mr. Jankins is more of a dog than a cat. He is always visited by children and loves playing with them !!! He also tries to steal food from our plates again and again 😄 And closed doors he finds really stupid, he would like to be everywhere. Mr. Jankins makes us laugh every day😂

Watched this video for the first time last winter prepping for my ragdoll mix kitten(her mom is not a ragdoll, imagine our shock to see 7 gorgeous kittens develop ragdoll characteristics and mannerisms) to come home with me, watching it again now with an almost one year old kittet sleeping next to me on my bed.

Yep...first time I changed my bed linens when Sarah was a kitten, she got on top of the bed and she put pull up every end of the fitted sheet that was tucked in..over and over and over...It took a little over 45 minutes to make the bed the first time. She was very determined. And very good at what she did. Now that she is two years old, and along with the other 5 now it only takes 15 minutes.

My ragdoll just passed away earlier today due to an unexpected heart attack - this video brought me a lot of joy seeing such a similar ragdoll showering his family with love. Treasure your time with your ragdoll, they truely are the best cats!

My 7 yr old sister has a ragdoll kitten named Snowbell! So adorable! There are no cons for me or my 2 sisters 😁 the most mesmerising blue eyes and she is so soft! But she does like to chew things... a lot. 😂 she does bite to but only occasionally 🥰 she is a rare ragdoll and I recommend getting one! They are so beautiful and cute!

What a BRAVE little kitty! Ours is VERY shy around our grandkids or strangers. But he DOES have VERY endearing qualities. He constantly wants to be picked up and cuddled and follows us around the house. My wife picked him up from a shelter; they thought he was Siamese , because someone had cut his hair very short. He has a cataract on one of his eyes, so we think the breeder rejected him. But their loss IS OUR GAIN!

When I get sad I remind myself that the reason I was willing to part with Blue is because I sensed he wanted to have playmates, not his mother. I didn't know a thing about ragdolls until yesterday and found out that indeed, they like to play etc. I asked the Pet Rescue to put him in a home where there are other cats. I was told he went to a "good" home. My hope is that some day I may get a picture of Blue in his new environment. I will always miss my big "teddy-cat".

Ragdolls are the greatest cats ever. I’ve had mine for 6 years now and she’s been nothing but wonderful. They are curious creatures and love to get into things. I take my little girl out for walks on a leash and take her on car rides, she loves it. A great companion.

We have a five month old blue-point named, Max, he's not scared of anything. He loves to go for car rides and all the girls at Starbucks drive thru love him. He will start bellowing at them until they start petting him. Big ham.

As the proud servant of four Rag Dolls I can safely say there are no cons. The little girl and the mini man will spend their nights plastered to my wife. The giant spends his night in the back window guarding us and the large boy protects us from the landing. So much love.

I had a sable mitted rag for 11 years. They don't call them 'the dog of the cat world' for more reason, as shown in your video.
Gizzie was the most loving joyful cat. If I could afford another rag, the decision would be a no-brainer. However, after he crossed I rescued a tortie munchkin at my local shelter. She is a 7lb affectionate beast. But I would love to get her a rag brother or sister.
Rex and Sky, you didn't mention my favorite con, that is you can never get a bed made because the cat thinks there is a monster under the covers and wants to chase it...I have to lock my cat out of the bedroom in order to get the bed made. Cheers!

Ragdolls loose a lot of hair in spring and autum. I brush them a lot. I have to vakuum every day. I hope you can understand my bad english. I am from Germany and learned english only at school more than 30 years ago 🙈

I love Rex & Sky to the Moon and back! 🌛🌜🌝💗❤️🐾🐾I am absolutely laughing out loud watching you rub Sky's "jelly Bean" sweet back toes, LOL😻 My cats absolutely love that and when I do that to Louis's front paws; he grasps my hand and hugs me! So cute! I have a rag doll named Winston and this rag doll looks a lot like mine. My Ragdoll has a lot of the traits as this cat but mine loves his belly rubs and constantly is flipping himself over for me to rub him with my foot while I'm trying to do dishes or whatever. He does love to follow me everywhere and he always has to be in my business. You love playing games on the tablet, too. They're very entertaining! I have two other cats that are mixed Persian and ragdoll. They're wonderful as well.

My rag doll kitten runs away when I turn the vacuum on she eats my feet and sleeps with in my bed everyday and she doesn’t know what privacy is
We somehow got a Siamese ragdoll-looking cat out of a feral Tortie mother & unknown father & he's the smartest, sweetest & BADDEST kitty ever! The fact that he's even tame is crazy because none of the neighborhood cats are remotely tame. But this boy comes in the house like he owns the place, helps himself to the dog's food/water & beats the crap out of her! They love each other dearly. He sprawls out with his back legs in a frog position & snuggles us... when he'll lay still at all, lol. Getting him neutered soon.

Thanks for sharing the video of Sky. What a wonderful kitten. When Blue was growing up he was mostly outside for 10-15 minutes, didn't spend much time indoors. So I missed the "cuteness" of a kitten. My bad that I'm regretting. Good health to you and Sky.

Just got two ragdoll kittens a couple of days ago. They've settled in quickly and are just lovely little cats. Had been without a cat for four years and that was the only time I'd never had cats. It's great being owned by cats again.
Great video! My Milo looks so much like Sky but without the white mits. He is only 13weeks but does all of these things. Especially loving the vacuum, shoes, bathroom, and chasing children. Oh and thinking I'm a Chew Toy!!

I have a ragdoll kitten and some people say they are the closest breed to acting like a dog in the cat industry, I totally agree!
Although I suggest not keeping them as outdoor cats because they aren’t that clever and could get hurt or killed for example, by a car!
Also no collars, if you cat is active it could jump off of something and get caught and stay dangling on the object!

Hello Holly! I totally agree with you! Sky acts a lot like a dog! If you look at our past videos we have some that suggest he may be a dog ☺️ Also about them being indoor only, yes that is totally true! Sky is indoor only! Not only can they get hurt but since they are such a beautiful breed and typically rare to see outdoors that can cause humans even stealing them! He also has no collar as well, since he is indoor and I don’t have to worry about having a collar on him! Thanks so much for watching our videos! So accurate, I have a year old male ragdoll and he is huge now but he's still my little baby. He is so silly he still acts like he is a kitten. Oh and he doesn't sit all cute at the door when he wants to come in, he bashes the door down 😂
