Lovely collection of linen! I found two pairs tan and beige vintage linen pleated shorts from the 80s or 90s gap that are a staple in my new linen collection. I have even on the hunt for some more linen dresses. Yes I agree with someone else’s comment above would love to see your bag collection video. Always happy to see you have a new video🙂

I live in linen clothing in our hot California summers, which can last five months. My preference is a linen dress - they’re the coolest and most comfy garments for hot days. This summer, for the first time, I have a full summer wardrobe of all-linen dresses and separates (tops, shorts, skirts), including unlined linen blazers and a few linen sweaters. I decided to make the investment as even my lightweight cottons just languish in my closet in summer, cotton is just too hot when it’s 85 to 105F, as it’s been this last week. It’s wonderful to know that every item I pull out will be cool and airy enough for wherever I need to go. I wash my linen items as needed, but try to do batch the washed items and do the majority of the ironing in the winter months when it’s cool. My laundry room just doesn’t go below about 80-85F all summer, and even with my big fan, I hate ironing when I’m already overheated. I try to iron my linen perfectly before wearing, then not stress about the creases while wearing it, they just can’t be helped. I definitely agree about the white linen shorts, and for me, white linen skirts and trousers are essential, too. I love wearing white “bottoms”, they look so chic.
It sounds like you have a very efficient system for preparing your linen for summertime. Ironing is not my favorite part of getting dressed, but it is necessary for the outfit to look its best. xo
How do you keep your linen so immaculate looking. I always look like i've slept the night in mine after a few hours? Love all your outfits !
Hi Beverley, good question! After a few hours, my linen clothes also look a bit wrinkled. I don't worry about it too much. Most people now recognize linen and understand that it is simply the nature of the fabric. I also like when a garment is mixed with another fabric like cotton, which helps the outfit not to crease as much. That's one of the reasons why I like the cream-cropped Sezane trousers so much; it mostly stays wrinkle free. Also, I noticed that some linen feels stiffer and doesn't crease as much as softer-feeling linen, ex. the Reformation dress or the raspberry trousers from Sezane that I showed in the video. But in a nutshell, I don't worry about it too much:) Thank you for watching.

Love my linen! I placed an order for the cream crop Sezane pants after seeing them on you. The link shows that they are crop but they seem a bit longer on you.

I also have the burgundy linen Reformation dress. I got an unlined cotton pink and burgundy check blazer from Nordstrom to wear with it and I love the outfit. It’s very different for summer, not exactly a summer standard color, but it’s still in my color palette. I’ve been looking for burgundy leather sandals to wear with it, but no luck so far. I wear mostly light colors, but I thought, I wear black and navy linen in summer, so why not burgundy? It’s a fun change.

Can we wash linens in the washing machine n dryer?
Yes, you can definitely machine wash linen. Although it’s always good to check the label on the garment for specific instructions. I wash mine using a gentle cycle with mild detergent. I do not put my linen items in the dryer though. I air dry it and iron while the clothes are still slightly damp. I hope that helps. Thank you for watching. 🤍
