I need more understanding on how you got the AB (across back)
The across back is the same as shoulder to shoulder

I am 6'5 tall. You mentioned that if one was taller , they should use 17 rather than 15 from the armhole. Would that apply to a 6'5 very tall person. Also wouldn't the slit be too long in an instance where I want a top length 38 inches long.
The 17 will be ok because when the slip goes down too much when the person tries to sit it feels uncomfortable…but if you make the client know about that and they are cool fine.
Also some senator suits comes with the slip being below (more than 17) so with that the style calls for it.
