    Natural farming increases the fertility of the soil, whereas in chemical farming, it is on a constant decline, till there comes a point when the soil is rendered completely infertile. The organic fertilizer, the carbon, formed inside the soil is lost in the air after tillage as the soil's organic matter is broken down more rapidly. This increases the carbon dioxide level in the atmosphere, thus contributing to global warming. A no-tillage technique gives hope for a solution to a worrying global problem.
    Raju owns 13.5 acres, of which 12 acres are used for farming. On 11 of these 12 acres, there is a dense forest of subbool (Australian Agesia) which is a type of fodder for the animals and a good source of wood. Only one acre is used for agricultural purposes.
    His farming is dictated by his requirement, not by what the market requires. He explains, “One acre of land is sufficient for our need. We get food grains, fruits, milk and vegetables from it, which is sufficient for the need of our family. We sow wheat in winter, corn and green gram in summer and paddy in rainy season.”
    The steps he is following are those of a famous Japanese agricultural scientist Masanobu Fukuoka, who practiced natural farming for years and wrote a book ‘One Straw Revolution'. This natural agricultural practice is also believed to be popular in the United States of America. Continuous use of the tilling and pouring chemical fertilizers on the natural agricultural fields resulted loss of porousness of the soil and fields turned into solid impervious which cannot soak rain water and water born by nature for agriculture runs in the fields and surface soil of containing bio fertilizer washed and block the passage of local nalas and streams to raise level of running water in the form of floods, which not only put in loss of soil but the loss of properties and lives of the poor farmers and they face either flood problems or drought..

    Raju titus I would like to congratulates your work, its very helpfull. I am from Brazil and here we have monoculture of sugarcane. Have you thought in a natural system on the sugarcane Field? Here unforntunately we have to use harvest machine, because the industry only accept sugarcane provides from harvest machine.

    The reason that man's improved techniques (modern systems of agriculture) seem to be necessary is that the natural balance has been so badly upset by those same techniques that the land has become dependent on them.
    This line of reasoning not only applies to agriculture, but to other aspects of human society as well. Doctors and medicine become necessary when people create a sickly environment. Formal schooling has no intrinsic value, but becomes necessary when the humanity creates a condition in which one must become "educated" to get along. (One Straw Revolution)

    Hello Raju prabhu. I am wondering what is your method of planting the subabul trees? Do you simply scarify and then scatter the seeds? Or do you grow the seeds in pots and then transplant them? Or a different method? Thank you so much for all the info.

    • @rajuktitus
      @rajuktitus  Před 8 lety +1

      +Caleb Peretz Once Subabul establish in No till system .Seeds fall on ground and germinates automatically. But in starting if land was under tilling it needs dibbling or scattering seeding seed balls balls of clay.

      Raju Titus ... Agree with you ... Sadhguru recently started a movement “Save our Rivers”. It’s a cycle... Mother nature returns us what we give to her.
      There’s enough on this earth for humans’ need...
      However, there’s never enough for the humans’ greed...
      Climatic changes and catastrophic events are the repercussions of the excessive exploitation of natural resources.

      बाज़ार से आधी कीमत में बेचते हैं क्योंकि काटने ,ढोने की मजदूरी देना होता है खेतिहर मजदूरों को काम मिले इसलिए भी बेचना जरूरी है .मेने कभी नही कहा किपेसे की जरूरत नही है .धन्यवाद

      हम देख रहे हैं सरकार जिन गरीबों को एक त दो रुपये किलो में अनाज उपलब्ध करा रही है वो लोग आजकल मेहनत करना भुलने लगे हैं और सरकार पर ही आश्रित रहने लगे हैं।
