I wasn't around them but I remember back in the early 80s a local farmer and his son in central Ohio raised sunflowers🌻,they ran New Holland combines and I think a special grain ? head to harvest them. Then had to go clear up by Toledo ( Maumee ) to sell them.

We always put milo gaurds whin cutting grain sourghum they save alot of grain
