A lot of respected musicians in there got up and gave this boy band a standing ovation. Whenever the stupid-ass NSYNC v bsb debate comes up, usually I'll just say four words ("I Thought She Knew") but I'll occasionally point them to this video if I remember it.
A lot of hardcore BSB fans think that because all 5 members get a chance at solos it makes them the better group. WRONG! In reality, solo parts aren’t what’s always important. You need the FULL support sound for it to blend and come together. When you listen to NSYNC’s five part harmonies, especially in acapella format, it becomes even more obvious they were superior to the other boybands. Their voices blend into one another very well and they don’t sound like separate voices coming together to do separate versions of the same songs like most boyband groups. Most boybands who try and attempt to do complex harmonies don’t cut it because most of the singers are made up of nothing but Tenors and a Baritone (BSB specifically when you pay close attention sound like 4 Tenors and a Baritone). Nsync was unique because they have ALL the male vocal ranges represented: Counter Tenor (Chris), Spinto Tenor (JC), Tenor (Justin), Baritone (Joey) and Bass (Lance). When you add in the fact they had complex choreography while singing live and sounding great, they were also lucky enough to be blessed with the 4 octave range that is Mr. JC Chasez, who is considered to have the best vocals out of all the boybands,m. Is it any wonder why people still talk about Nsync or use their music for inspiration?
Remember when even the most hated "14-year old girl-artists" that "don't make real music" were still insanely talented? Compare that to the artists that are said to not make real music today... Today it's actually true that they have no talent... Hell, even some of the best artists of today are comparable to Nsync in terms of talent. Can anyone even dance still? Or stay on pitch this much?
BUT WHY DID JUSTIN HAVE TO LEEEEEEAVE, we would still have them or at least would have had more of them, *NSYNC STILL had LOTS of life left in the tank.
@@gertj363Justin was groomed into becoming a solo artist by management, that’s why they sabotaged JC’s chances. Also, you can tell in their later performances Justin was already trying to make himself “standout” more when they would come together for their acapella harmonies….like excuse me? Who the hell gave him the green light to try and sing LOUDER than everyone else, especially when all their vocals are supposed to blend together? He doesn’t have that natural bright powerful tone to his vocals like JC does. When Justin tries to actively sing louder over the others, it ruins the harmonies! And since he has that annoying nasal voice, it stands out even more (again not in a good way)!
This was about six months into their hiatus. Justin’s solo album had come out three months before. It wasn’t forced but yeah they all knew they were on hiatus lol
Chris is not even trying to hit those high pitch, it's just natural
Chris Kirkpatrick was spectacular here
Anytime someone tells me that boy bands weren’t real musicians and can’t sing, I tell them to watch this.
Sad when people say that
Nobody's ever said they aren't real musicians lol@@bpunisher94
Chris Kirkpatrick for the win! He killed this performance 🎉🎉🎉
The bass voice is magic
Yes it is, but Chris's voice too
❤Lance
That would be Lance Bass
Like literally. Everyone is so quick to discount Lance.
No one could fuc* with Nsync's harmonies.
Brilliant
Chris was the star of this tribute. Easily
Joey’s face his passionate about the Harmony 😂
Gets me emosh that this was their last performance (other than the VMAs reunion) and omg Chris really brought it in this
😢😭
JC’s voice pierced through the harmony. Perfect
When they did staying alive, Chris, Jc, and Joey killed that harmony
That bass omg everytime I listen to this
Why does this make me weep everytime until the JT beatboxing kicks in.
Agree with a lot of other commenters, Kirkpatrick carried this one. What a gem.

I thought she knew 💙💙
Or show them any video comparison of NSYNC dancing and bsbs....moving? Kinda?

BUT WHY DID JUSTIN HAVE TO LEEEEEEAVE, we would still have them or at least would have had more of them, *NSYNC STILL had LOTS of life left in the tank.
Their management was BS. They let the other members into believing Justin would comeback after his solo. Left all the members in the dark.

Justin Timberlake singing Bee Gees is like Heaven
En verdad, hay cosas que a veces no vale la pena recordar.
Its a good tribute
Wtf you talkin about?
This performance felt forced like they already knew Justin was leaving
This was definitely not forced…
