The video is about bed shampooing. It is cleaning the hair of the patient especially those who are bedridden in the hospital or at home. It showed proper steps wherein student nurses can follow.
It is important to ask the patient to make sure that they are their best and feel comfortable when performing the procedure.
It is important so that you will know what area that needs most attention and to put extra care when performing.
Aftercare and handwashing is very important to wash all microorganisms that you have gathered from the patient's head or scalp.
I have learned the right procedure in doing the bed shampoo in a patient. We need to be extra careful for lesions and wounds.
