- Hey, this is brief (sort of in-depth) video on my Konica C35 EF point-and-shoot camera. It's an awesome camera. It's very simple and fun to use. If you want to get into film photography, this camera is perfect. I pretty much talk about its features. I did it in one take, so there's awkward pauses. Hopefully this video benefits anybody who needs this info and/or is interested. Thanks!!

To anyone watching this who is wondering how to reset the counter, when the back is off, hold in the rewinding pin underneath and cock the film wind lever and it should ping back to zero. I thought I had broken mine. Managed to work it out eventually, there's only two mechanical inputs so it had to be between those two buttons/levers somehow.
Could somebody clarify this for me - new to film cameras and I have the same issue but can't seem to work out what "hold in the rewinding pin" means?
@@jaredpierre7242 There's also a small metal pin on the back above the left side of the back where you thread the film with the door open. Mine was stuck and i needed to poke it with a small screwdriver to get it working again. It should auto reset when you open the back, no other input needed.
Just grabbed one of these in Bangkok! Cheers for the video 😎📸
Hope you enjoy it!
The lightmeter is the small round window at the top of the lens between Hexanon and 38.
the lightmeter battery is a 675 or LR44
zenoist2 are they 1.3V or 1.5?
@@justynsiah2816 1.5 Hope I could still help you 7yrs later :)
Do I need the battery on the top of the camera?.. the little round one. If I don’t have it will it still take picks?
Keanu Savea technically you can but your exposure will not be accurate
That was a very helpful video! I just got this camera today and mine it stuck at 36 also .. I wonder if its ny fault or the cam is like that
+Vo Quan thank you! it's most likely the camera. It's from the '70s, so the amount of wear and tear since then could result into the shutter counter to get stuck
+MorningShot4 yea..i didn't know that so i just ruined the first film bc i keep winding the film but it still at 36..xD
I know this is kinda late reply but im currently experiencing this too with my C35ef, is my camera still rolling and continuing on consuming film everytime i shoot but only shows 36, the film roller does move and turn everytime i move the arm, thanks
My camera seems to be functioning just fine but when I wind the film it isn’t counting the frames. It just has the red ‘s’ sign.
Mine had the same problem but the counter number was stuck on the last number which I believe is 36. I wouldn't worry about it since the camera does go to the next frame
What kind of film goes into the camera ? So far I heard a 135 is fine ? Thanks in advance :)
Hi, if my flash is broken can I still use the camera right?
Yes, you can. The camera doesn't rely on the flash to operate unless you need it to bump up the exposure.
Hi! Which do you think is better for a start, this C35 EF or the C35 AF?
+Bea de Jesus they're both automatic cameras so take your pick
is the Conica C35 flashmatic also automatic? it doesnt say ef or af
If you want a really good Konica I have one I Bartered this guy at work he wanted my case knife exclusive pocket knife i paid $119 and he had a Konica Auto S2 made in 1965 in mint condition has a awesome excellent lens 46 mm , with the Box the leather case and the instruction booklet you can still buy these cameras the Nikon Auto S2 on eBay ... Konica emerged with Minolta we all know what happened to Minolta then they sold the whole operation to Sony
I found a guy who was selling one but the winder lever was missing and I dont think you can make it work withou one :(
But it was a beautiful camera
what battery is used in the light meter please?
uv필터랑 랜즈캡 어디서 구매 하셨나요?
mine is also stuck at 36, it should still work right?
Yeah it'll still work you just have to remember what number you're at haha. I would put a post it note on the camera after it's not in use
@@MorningShotFilms haha thanks!
Andy Warhol's camera
can you use this camera without a battery?
Technically you can but without the flash battery you cant use the flash and without the metering battery your camera wont know whats properly exposed
I kind of dont get the exposure. Heeelllppp
Exposure is based on ISO. The shutter is auto set from 1/60 an 1/120 depending where your aperture is. The meter goes along with your aperture.
i have this one if somebody interesting to buy?
OMG! Hey! We all what to make great informative videos that help people out but the one ingredient you have forgotten is research!! You started off so good, but once a person starts saying things like "I think" that is the last thing that has happened. Stop, look it up, then start recording your video again! This is called the "work" part of good content creation.

What's a lot of money to you?
