  • #Senja is an island located in Northern #Norway (close to Lofoten) and will probably offer you most majestical landscape you have ever seen. This short film is made from a hike around the mountain Segla. The beach you see is called Ersfjordstranda, located right nearby. Both places are perfect for experiencing the #Midnightsun.
    Film & Edit: Torbjørn Husevåg (Torbs)
    Time: July, 2020
    Camera: DJI Mavic 2 Zoom (drone) & iPhone Xs
    Music: Licenced from Epidemic Sound
    How to get there?
    No matter where you come from, travelling to the Senja region is easy. You can reach it by car, express boat, ferry, Hurtigruten (the coastal steamer) or from the airports Bardufoss (BDU), Tromsø (TOS) or Harstad/Evenes (EVE). From Oslo the flight takes about 1 hour 50 minutes to Bardufoss, and from the airport it is approximately one hour to reach the Senja region. You can also go by plane to Harstad or Tromsø and from there take the express boat to Finnsnes (Senja), Lysnes (Senja) or Brøstadbotn (Dyrøy). Car rental is also an option
    What to do here?
    Here you can follow national tourist roads with world class nature surrounding them. Senja is becoming more and more of the perfect off-beat attraction. Here you’ll find steep mountain tops with extreme views, pure air and a chance to jump in fresh waters from white sand beaches. Being one of the biggest islands in Norway, Senja can offer both coastal and inland activities, such as kayaking, diving, dogsledding and guided tours in cultural landscapes.

      Det kan anbefales. Men aldri for sent! Lofoten er kan minne i sin natur, men området nord på Senja (ved fjellet Segla) var helt unikt.

    • @torbs_media
      @torbs_media  Před rokem +2

      Hi Nick, I went in the end of July. During the summer there is no Northern Light as the sun never sets. During the winter, the sun never rises, so in January you would have a good chance of seeing it 😁

    How difficult was climbing segla? Out of 10?

    • @torbs_media
      @torbs_media  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Zada. Good question. It depends on your reference scale. I would say it’s a 7/10 for an average hiker. It’s totally doable, but if you are afraid of heights - you might feel extra alive when you are getting close to the top.
