I did not like the way the interviewer mentioned something like “I’m sure u are looking for more alpha men than women at the gym Vanessa?”. And then something like “u have to balance work and pleasure”. Mainly because she’s married I think wasn’t appropriate. Vanessa is the best, I just love her.
I loved this interview with Vanessa. And you were really a great listener for us and asked great questions. So thank you. It would be fantastic if you could invite Mel Robbins who wrote the book The 5 second rule.
6:39 - "Oh you often hear, people skills, it's a soft skill, you can't really learn it. There's no real hard science to it, but I realize that there was. You could absolutely learn it if you weren't born with it." - Vanessa Van Edwards czcams.com/video/oAxpTb2mcm0/video.htmlm39s 4:32 - "I've been researching a lot about you. I heard you through Lewis Howes. mm-hmm he's awesome. Yeah he's a big mentor of mine so and you know I listen to your episodes and your TED talks and it's amazing amazing. What like the research that you have and the the ability to communicate that to so many people so it's amazing what you've done so far, so congratulations." - Sean Kim czcams.com/video/oAxpTb2mcm0/video.htmlm32s 6:25 - "He gave me a couple books and he was like, just start. You know take your people, your book smarts and apply them to people smarts. And so I started to read about the science of people and that was the first time where I was like WOW this isn't just a soft skill. You know you often hear, oh people skills, it's a soft skill, you can't really learn it, there's no there's no real hard science to it. But I realized that there was and you could absolutely learn it if you weren't born with it. Interesting! So I mean I think I think well, a lot of what you talk about is so relevant because a lot of us weren't taught that when we were in high school or even in University. It's something that we kind of stumble on to. And you know, I've personally, you know, let's say when I was younger I was quite bullied and it's very difficult for people to jump back into that state of confidence or being able to be sociable because they think that it's not really something they can develop." - Vanessa Van Edwards czcams.com/video/oAxpTb2mcm0/video.htmlm25s 15:06 - "How do you know if you are an alpha male or an alpha woman?" - Vanessa Van Edwards czcams.com/video/oAxpTb2mcm0/video.htmlm06s 17:56 - "In fairness I'm at the gym and typically the gym is a beacon for those alpha males. I like her. She really has some valuable information to share. But also I can see how calculated she is in almost every interaction she has with someone. And that is what bothers me about her...She is still consciously works really hard on being awesome.
Yeah, it's like she is LITERALLY the posterchild for Sociopathy, but she has made that work for her in a positive way instead of being a negative person.
Alpha males are more rare thus easier to spot. Their walk have determination and their posture is very straight kind of sexy. Most men are beta given the great number of people who have been abused by parents. Been beat up by parents take away our confidence and drive.
That's what makes them even more confident, they made really rebellious kids, so you couldn't really beat it out of them. But I hear what you're saying.
Alpha or narcissist? Correlations / differences? Now, is it possible to miss alpha (leader) by prematurely selecting out for testosterone(facial shape)? Why would anyone want to be an alpha?
INTERESTING, I have never found square jawlines attractive…high cheekbones YES, more of chiseled diamond, or heart are always what Im attracted to. Men with square jaws seem obstinate, overbearing or dominate as a whole…I hate that. JMHO
Some business/companies purchase viewers and some people resort to puppies/cats/explosive things to grab more attentions. To get more subscribers, some marketing may also be needed. I do a lot of promotion for community services. For organizations/business that just want a basic presence, I don't push their videos or posts, but for those that want to have reach greater than 1000 or 10000, I have to do extra push and it generally costs something. (because I am not using puppies or cute kitties...I develop meaningful content that may appeal to a small niche).
29:38 “I’m taking a vow of silence. I would like to learn to be a better listener. please tell me about you.” I have a question about this.. How do you communicate with others when you show them this card and they start talking to you? My question is How do you keep the conversation going? Do you just keep nodding your head with a smile and if they say something you don’t like or didn’t find as appealing, do you do that facial expression of like eeeh 😬 I really don’t agree with what you said or something like that.... Please tell me more. I would really like to learn more about this topic. Thank you.
Mr. PosiTive ViBes great questions. I would talk less and listen more. You have to go with the flow.. you bring up a subject that could be interesting. They will brags about it. You just give them full attention. They will do the taking. Wen they stop talking. Wait 10 seconds Base what they said. You can respond. Wen they say something you don’t like. You blink your eyes. It’s human nature. Just pay attention their body language while listening. If it is to much negativity. I got go guys. It was nice seeing you. If you do this. You will be more conscious minded .
Aren't we giving someone a term 'difficult' just to send ourselves the subconscious message that if nobody listens or receives us, we are not acceptable to even ourselves?
And what about the ones who were not memorable? Why aren't we accepted in society for that aspect? Why aren't we working on listening to someone with effort? Why aren't we working on understanding the one without they editing their ways because they care about how they are being received? What about the things that we want to know in order to be aware of how we dislike the world and others and ourselves..And why we dislike who or what we dislike?
Thanks so much for your opinion about me being a coman man action and interaction between us, So I have been seeing many times of Vanessa's video 🌟 most of her aspect of my personal detail study about physical, mentality, and psychological evaluation and I also want to know about her opinion from time to time because of I Know her From about three months ago therefore I generally 🐈 getting knowledge from her and make balancing in my life I am alone but not feeling 💯 like that 😔 and not much attraction about anybody because of it is my daily routine and round around the 🎁 CZcams videos and I understand that everyone has a different point of view and they're marking on my every words and actions and work very well for me. So thanks for your opinion about me being of our group religion and many other things to do with everyday.
You want an alphas data ? Just ask him for a phone # . Idk if a guy could do this in reverse. Women won't trust you, especially if there's a big age disparity.
This might have been more valuable as a podcast. You're both attractive people with great smiles- when you choose to use them- but there is a decided lack of smiling during certain portions of the interview... and it comes across as disdain 😐
In my experience it's kind of hard to smile allll the time and smiling excessively can come off as ingenuine. To me, the times where they don't really smile comes off more as thinking and listening seriously.
You should have done your homework before interviewing her. What a rude and sexist comment to insinuate that her WORK means that she's going after men. Lame.
Interview starts at 4:30

Thanks 😂
Thanks for being so memorable!
Thank you! Time is precious :D

To be interesting, be interested. That's it. Done. We figured it out.
Vanessa straight dropping knowledge, fam.

I am so glad I stayed till the very end to find out a out the vow of silence card! Fabulous!
Everyone loves Vanessa - I like the triple nod technique for nonverbal listening technique
Signed. Sealed. And delivered!
This was an excellent interview! Thank you, Sean. Vanessa Van Edwards was amazing, and you asked great questions.
Queen midas did it again. 👑 Pure gold.
She is also a “recovered awkward person” and likely an ENFJ so I see why she is the way she is 😅😂
@@JordanJSparks how is she a sociopath?!?
She is fascinating 👏👏
She starts all her answers with yeaaaa!!! Enthusiastically
Thank Youuuu

So true. I've been fighting my ENTIRE life to regain my confidence from being demeaned by parents
That's what makes them even more confident, they made really rebellious kids, so you couldn't really beat it out of them. But I hear what you're saying.
Few ones who do shadow work a lot, will avoid us all together if we try to build ourselves up with alignment of body and presence and values.
Vanessa, interesting perspective on the vow of silence! Thank you!
Thank you for the interesting interview! Unfortunately, the music in your intro is quite loud and distracting.
Seasons greetings!
Claas
I looove her upternd eyes 😍

so much to learn and pick up...
Music is bothersome too much noise for me
God she's gorgeous
Why do you not have more views/subscribes, Sean?!
410 is pretty good.
Windermere Sun, I think what is meant, is also what I don't get, is why aren't more people realizing this channel is worth following.

Love women that are OPPOSITE of me! Am I crazy? They are so fascinating, so much to learn from them.
happy thanksgiving
Is the contest still on?
I would love to be on your show
Awesome dude
Aren't we giving someone a term 'difficult' just to send ourselves the subconscious message that if nobody listens or receives us, we are not acceptable to even ourselves?
An alpha male on a treadmill is as rare as a lion on spaceship.
the music in the background is sooooo distracting!!!
And what about the ones who were not memorable?

omg hurry up with the interview
I jumped ahead to five minutes and hadn't missed much I don't think 🤣
Thanks so much for your opinion about me being a coman man action and interaction between us,

Music too loud!
an adds absolutely no value.
Music is too loud ,conversation too long , waiting for main speaker
They assume you're hitting on them
that headset ruins it
She says a lot of the same things in her videos.

I'm sure that you are charming in person: I'm measuring these two professional speakers against themselves/their own track record.
You should have done your homework before interviewing her. What a rude and sexist comment to insinuate that her WORK means that she's going after men. Lame.
Ricegum?
You need to take, “you guys” out of your vocabulary to be a good interviewer. 🙃
Vanessa.... lame.
shes hot man
"human behaviour research lab"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Like you're some kind of scientist 😂
Her occasional vocal fry makes her sound immature IMO... oh boy, that annoys me so bad... 😬😑😑😑
You isolate your conscious vegan viewers by showing ham and all that meat at the beginning. Males me not want to watch further.
