The black and white fishes with the yellow tail are called Moorish Idols. They are more an ornamental aquarium fish, and not really popular for eating.

Oh yes, here in the south US it's uncommon to have one without the other. Didn't realize it was a secret to the rest of the world but that explains why we call them hush puppies.
Couple of things.. 1. that was a nice fish you caught.. 2. was that your first time catching your dinner n eating it within a few hours, if so you can't get much fresher than that. 3. how was it that meal looked amazing. 4 it's fish not fishes.
