    Thank you for this video, zan
    I gotta say you’re very bold for sharing your list before the event
    Love to see it 💪

      That's what I was saying. Super surprised to see the release before the dlc not after. Mad lad or bait?! XD

    Thank god this is going to be the last challenge with this deck!

    I would argue that the most important card besides the nuts (Bucky Diablo Diablo) into red purple is The Cove. If you Diablo on 1 and see a Brawl or a Peter Pan shadow finder, your turn 2 play Cove move to Cove shift Diablo is better than Bucky shift Diablo.

    Appreciate the Mulligan guide at the end. Had the same mindset for the Mulligan so its nice to see i have the right idea. Best of luck with Dallas!

    As always - amazing content. Here is my one take after seeing all these other guides about mulligans. There is still variance. A lot of it. I know Lorcana has a “friendly mulligan” but if you’re not stacking the deck then it’s silly to assume you just get the cards you need when you throw the ones back that you don’t. A lot of these “old school MTG players” are VERY good at always getting the cards they need. It’s just really sus and a known problem in MTG. I hope it doesn’t happen as widespread in this game. Your guide actually shows how you can make informed decisions to help push odds in your favor. The way it SHOULD be done. As you said perfectly - “the right mulligan is the right mulligan.” Thank you!!!

    Thanks for the video, really appreciated.
    I feel after finally getting to play some games live that one of the biggest things skilled players do is mulliganing way more aggressively. And is a subject that clearly is not discussed enough.
    Just a thought I had on the tinkerbell/GYS comment you made: I feel like that choice could impact our win% on the draw as having an aoe as early as possible is one of the best ways to win the mirror when playing behind on tempo since both players will get the nuts an equal amount of time. Being able to kill bucky + diablo on turn 3 by going Robin shift line feels huge to me, and we are already a bit short on Diablo solutions IMO.
    I get that when they are bad, they are REALLY bad, but I am not sure that playing the "best, most streamlined deck" is the right call in a format where you have to 2-0 matches and would feel more comfortable playing this in a bo3 setting.
    GL on the event!

    Love the video guide, great content as always! With Bucky being such an important piece for Green/Steel, whats your way of dealing with an opposing bucky in the mirror? Without Swords, avalanche, or Tinkerbell it seems like Bucky may cause some problems for the deck.

    Can you explain more in detail Prince John and Donald engine? Looks like giving the option to draw to the opponent when trying to empty their hand at the same time could be exhausting.

    finished 2nd, made a mistake game 3 in finals. Played john and robin hood on turn 4, instead of ripping grab your sword out of my ops hand with ursula ;/. Long day was not thinking clearly.

    Thanks Zan, great content as usual. Just a question, after Bucky errata, with the tools we have now and before knowing all the cards for next set, which deck you think performs better against ruby amethyst? Asking because at least here in my local community, we will have a flood of ruby amethyst decks

    As a Blue/Steel player, how can I win against this monstrosity?? 😭 Many people say it's a favourable matchup, but really don't agree... Any tips/insights?
    Also, one example I recently encountered and I still haven't found an answer for is: imagine I'm on the draw, opponent robins + bucky, on my turn 2, is it best to 1) baboom the robin, 2) play smee, or 3) pass. No idea, I'm scared of all scenarios 😅

    • @mrnst7
      @mrnst7 Před měsícem

      The new sapphire steel deck is almost impossible to beat with emerald steel. It has an answer for every early game play. Either check your deck list or just get more reps in for practice because you should not be struggling against this deck, unless they pull of turn 2 buckydiablo of course

    What is the thought process behind removing jafar - dreadnought?

    • @6thface
      @6thface Před měsícem

      Donald fits the slot Jafar holds in other decks, and it can make your discard better. It helps with the 4 sudden chill. It also does the draw engine thing Jafar does, but that extra attack from Jafar can come in handy.

      So I just playtested against my buddy’s ruby amythyst and sapphire steel and Donald was mostly ink both games. Is he a turn 4 drop for sure? Wanting to understand timing on the Donald.
