- Ten years ago, The Dead Daisies burst onto the music scene. Their mission, to create some good old fashioned 70’s style rock, gather some of the finest musicians in the world, and have a great time keeping rock music alive. The name was inspired by Jon Stevens and an old phrase ‘pushing up daisies’ as well as the Mexican celebration ‘Day Of the Dead’ with this theme influencing the logos and artwork throughout the years.
The Dead Daisies have gone from strength to strength since the release of their self-titled album in 2013. They have released six studio, one live and one covers album to a growing army of fans worldwide and are praised by the global media in an era where Rock has been declared dead time and time again.
The band’s DNA includes an amazing collective of players that includes David Lowy, Doug Aldrich, John Corabi, Brian Tichy, Michael Devin, Glenn Hughes, Marco Mendoza, Richard Fortus, Dizzy Reed, Tommy Clufetos, Frank Ferrer, Darryl Jones, Charley Drayton, Deen Castronovo and Jon Stevens amongst others.

I love Glenn Hughes, but Dead Daisies always seemed like more of a temporary backing band for him. With Corabi it's a proper unit.

I needed this today... renews my hope that real rock and roll is not yet dead. As just another old dude recently hitting 60 years, it is very inspiring to see other old dudes still kicking out creative new jams like this. Love the music, vocals, and orchestration. Whereas GnR and Motley just keep regurgitating the old hits, there is nothing Dead about these Daisies and their fresh new tunes. Respect.

I just hit 60 myself this month and completely agree with what you wrote. The lyrics are quite fitting on this song in regards to John and the band. I'm looking forward to listening to their new album. Motely's album with John is one of my favorites. Very underrated IMO. I'm glad the DD brought John back!
Man, I'll be 65 in a few months. These guys really rock it out. Corabi in my opinion blew Vince Neil off stage. He could sing the old Crue songs but no way Neil could muster up enough to tackle Corabi's songs.

I became a fan of TDD because of Crabby but I am a HUGE fan of Glenn as well, and the reason I was so happy when Glenn joined was because I knew I would then get a chance to see him play live. Previously he was just touring Australia and NZ and wasn't doing serious live gigs with BCC. I finally did see him live with TDD, and he was phenomenal. Seeing Glenn sing like that from 10 feet away was a religious experience. But now I'm happy Crabby is back.
