I’m laughing (although with joy), cuz you are about to be inundated with tons (literally) of baby, then toddler, then little kid ... middle schooler sports gear, more bikes and scooters, teenager gear, etc!!! Plan on getting another shed sooner than later. 😊 And a minivan! But it will all be worth it when she snuggles into you for a bedtime story or a feeding or that hug after you walk her down the aisle. (Now I made myself cry.)
I’m so thrilled for your family. Sweet baby Bates has finally arrived. Congratulations to all of you. ❤️

If you're not going to run power out to your storage shed, you might consider a set or two of those inexpensive solar LED lights w/motion detectors that Harbor Freight sells. The 30 LED version is only $20. Instant lights and no wiring hassles. Can't wait to see what is coming to your shop with all the new space you've got! Blessings to your new family!

That shed addition is outstanding. It’s great that you had room for it on your property. I have the same wood racks but different brands. They are outstanding and, as you showed, very strong and easy to install. I’m like you, I’d rather make furniture instead of shop projects but right now, because I put off making the shop projects I’m having to make a work bench and some cabinets. I’m hoping to get back to making furniture soon.
Looking forward to your new CNC.

Hey Jay I am also in the middle of something similar for the layout of my shop. One of my projects I am working on to save on space is taking a already existing table and adding castors similar to what you did, but what I did was make it 1/8” lower then my table saw and use it as an out feed table. This way I can just roll my work bench away when I am done at the table saw. Works for me and saves on space. Good luck love the videos.

The casters are a great idea. I am setting up my workshop with the same casters. One thing you should consider, Rockler sells just the brackets for the casters allowing you to share casters easily among different workbenches, tables, etc. It will also save space. You can remove the casters and stick them in a drawer until needed. Believe it or not you will walk around your bench and kick that caster. Also by using the bracket it is less expensive.

So much room for activities! You need to say that with more excitement. Good video, I'm really interested in what you come up with on the folding out-feed table. I've been doing some adjustment in my shop as well and have just realized where I put my table saw my out-feed table is higher on the far side than the side attached to the table saw because of the garage floor. I was planning to replace the legs (or shorten them) and add adjustable feet, but the thought of a folding out-feed surface would provide some nice occasionally open space.
I really look forward to baby furniture videos. Congratulations again.

Jay, I modified my miter saw station to make it quit easy to do mitered cuts without the boards. I had a project at a nuclear plant that required fire retardant fabric. Its looks basically like black tarp. I cut it to fit and left it loose in key areas. I can swing my saw in any direction now and still maintain the pull for dust collection.

I keep quite a bit of open space in my workshop for the assembly and progression of larger projects. When you're not working on one the space looks silly, but when you need it you've never got enough. The trouble with CZcams is that the format encourages small projects to fit in one small video. This is not how everyone works. Glad you've moved to making more fine furniture. Looking forward to the videos.

So your wood is stored outside in probably one of the most humid regions in the US. I'm not very educated on just how much humidity can affect wood, do you have any further insight on the subject? How long does wood take to acclimate back to a usable level? Doe humidity only impose superficial changes or deep changes to the wood? Those are some of the questions I have.... Thanks for ALLLLLLLLL the videos! Excellent video Jay. Congratulations to you family regarding your daughter! My daughter is about to have her first child, a daughter, and we are all excited! We have a grandson and granddaughter already from my son and daughter in law and they are the light of our lives. The newest addition should be here in 10 days or less.....
I desperately need to clean out my garage and move some stuff into a shed and the one I have is tiny.... What brand shed did you buy and where can I get one? I also plan to move in the future and need something I can take with me.
The rest of the clean out and changes, updates, etc, made a huge difference. It really tuned out well!
Thanks for the video and some ideas.
    Ron

I bet that osage orange would also make a good bar top for a standalone bar.

You put a lot of unnecessary info. In videos. But great job. You are very clear. I like the casters.

My wife and I were sitting together while I was watching this video.
When you made the "... but my wife vetoed that" we looked at each other.
We had a very brief conversation ... all without words
I said "Sheesh! And he's GOOD too!"
She said "Yah, now you know I'm not the only one"
