I was cringing during that scene. I'd love for a delayed 'boom' and that plan/ship did crash but survived some otherway / the heros were on a different vessel.

OMG, it's not to make you think the ship crashed, it's just for a cool effect. Although I would've loved if the ship came flying back over the ridge being chased by either one large monster, or hundreds of small ones.

Jeremy is the kind of guy who watched a fight break out in high school and would say something like “this fight has no stakes unless someone dies”
...and he would be correct!
Only in response to teachers or students being dramatic about it. Like someone saying you can't fight a bully cause you'll get suspended. Who cares?
And then he calls out the cliche of teachers coming out of nowhere in the middle of the fight and take the kids to the principal’s office

They missed the biggest sin. How can Godzilla and Kong fight on top of an aircraft carrier??? It clearly cannot support the weight of just one of them, never mind both.
Isn’t Godzilla himself like almost 100,000 tons and Kong close to half of that
It's a combo of movie magic and plot armor... they had lots of that in the below-deck hold next to the gelato machines and sacrificial crewmen dispensers.
While it might not be completely impossible for the weight to be carried on the aircraft carrier in a world where everything is designed to handle monsters I do have to agree with them bouncing around on top it doesn't matter how prepared you are something as heavy as Godzilla will definitely destroy that boat.

Like Kong climbing on and leaping off skyscrapers. They should have crumbled instantly. The first Legendary Godzilla film treated the mass of these creatures much more realistically.

One of my biggest gripes about them thinking Godzilla was actively trying to attack people in the opening was only 8 deaths, if Godzilla wanted people dead, people would be freakin' DEAD!
Yeah, but it's said "found dead". Hundreds probably got incinerated by his atmoic breath. Plus humans there has been living with titans for 10 years, surely there's bunkers all around the world
My gripe is that they expect us to believe only eight people died.
If it were a logical movie more than 8 people would have died. No way that is a realistic death toll with all of that destruction.

Thought it was funny how they said “Godzilla is no longer our savior” after he attacked a plant and killed 8 people when the casualties from his fights in the first two movies combined have to be well in the tens of millions not to mention all the irreplaceable billions in damages, like that attack is the least destruction Godzilla ever did…also Godzilla’s atomic breath is pure radiation wouldn’t shooting that straight up into the air all the times he does it be very very bad..

The population of hong kong is 7.5 million and i think the reason behind why jeremy added 5 million is bcz there was no way the whole 7.5million of hong kongs people evacuated in such a short time before the fight
@@infamous4437 idk how many miles of land they fought on but it seemed to be in a very concentrated area. Plus they fought beside water as well which means even less people waterfront property to my knowledge isn't cheap its impossible for more than half the population to have been in that area especially if they knew that's where it was going to happen. I'd say maybe and I mean maybe a couple of stubborn people stayed behind like 80 at best.

To be fair, the part where they shocked kongs chest to start his heart, they used the ships energy and not the found power source. They even repeated the “las Vegas” line from earlier in the movie where they were talking about how powerful the ships were.

It's loosely implied that part of Ghidorah's consciousness was still in what was left of the skull due to it's hyper regeneration, which was why they were able to use the skull to link a pilot with Mecha Godzilla. The power source gave that consciousness enough of a boost to take control of Mecha Godzilla.

Even better, that's the actual plot of the Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla Manga from the 90s. MechaGodzilla remembers that it was once both Ghidorah and Mecha-King Ghidorah, takes over MG, and starts tearing Godzilla apart, literally. Ruptures his eyes and tears his dorsal spines in half.
I was so annoyed when the Kong scientist started bitching about the corporate people taking the energy source. That was the one reason they were there. She knew that from the beginning. What was her complaint exactly?
The plot had to happen that was the only reason she complained
she had to be on "good people side" because she is still the care taker of the girl that speaks with kong. They had to do something that showed it xD
Pretty sure the complaint wasn't about taking the energy source, but about the location they were currently standing. I'm not saying it made it make sense, but I believe she was kinda saying, "Yo, this is his bedroom now, wtf."

The blonde scientist guy was tricked thinking the apex guys had good intentions for going down there, but in reality they really just wanted to find a sustainable power source for Mechagodzilla, and so both the blonde scientist and kong scientist were tricked. :]

You missed that when mechagodzilla kills the skullcrawler, the gore is green, but in the earlier Kong movie, when he disembowels the queen crawler, it's red.
I suppose you could argue though that because they’re not genuine skull crawlers and were created by APEX to use for testing, that their internals would be different
It absolutely baffled me that the guy who co-created a device that could lure and provoke Titans just jumped to the conclusion that Godzilla had turned on humanity and refused to believe that maybe something was setting him off.

Okay when Jeremy says the defeated Titans are dead in this movie, that’s not completely true. Yes, Ghidorah is dead, but the other Titans were confirmed to stay dormant throughout the duration of this film.

Missiles actually do hurt him it's just very miniscule, throughout all the shows movies and games not only do bombs and missiles slowly but surely hurt him, they also stun him enough so that he can't use his atomic breathe.

Two things to say about things overlooked.
First the ax head is literally a Godzilla dorsal plate. That why it was able to deflect Godzilla's radiation breath.
Second about this Apex ships. Early in the movie it was stated each ship had the power to light up Las Vegas for a week. The ships weren't using power from hollow earth to defibrillator Kong
You have to admit, for a movie called _Godzilla vs Kong,_ this actually has a good amount of Godzilla versus Kong and doesn't use the aggravating schtick of cutting away to the boring humans just as the big monsters start doing something interesting.
yeah, it’s why i prefer this over the previous films because truthfully i wanna see a bunch of monsters fight then seeing human shit
KOTM was epic but they cut a lot to the humans, GVK they didn’t cut away at all (and when they did it was only for a couple seconds)
Godzilla 2014 had an epic sense of scale, an absolutely fantastic introduction to Goji, some beautifully harrowing shots and a fucking top notch finale (first use of atomic breath).
GvK (and to a lesser extent, KoTM) made the titans seem kinda weightless and the sense of scale was completely gone in GvK.
*Godzilla:* Finally, a worthy opponent, our battle will be legendary!
*King Kong:* _I shower you with coconut cream pie._

They used Ghidora's brain as Mecha's core for its combat capabilities while keeping its consciousness suppressed, but Ghidora's brain regained consciousness, killed the pilot by overloading his brain then took control of Mecha.

4:51: Well, no. Kong’s island sank into the ocean during an earthquake, so, the Monarch took Kong (and a few other monsters that somehow survived) back to that large dome-like structure [that Monarch built] with an (artificial) recreation of Skull Island’s original environment to contain Kong.

I mean, the movie takes place in 2024, 5 years from godzilla KOTM, which did have some pretty future looking tech, so I guess it is possible.

Ten years later, we have domes with cloaking devices, underground rail systems across the entire world, flying future tanks, a giant robot Godzilla, a girl who magically taught giant monke to communicate when there is already the Orca to facilitate understanding, a Mary Sue with a dude who has a van, magic underground internet connection, and at the top of it all, an axe phone charger port. The amount of plot convenience is obscene. If this franchise doesn’t scream lazy writing, I don’t know what to say.

Even silly creature battle movies deserve logic. Those creatures can exist in that fictional world, that is easy to accept. The laws of physics and math or whatever on the other hand are a tougher pill to swallow if you just shit all over them. Even the director thought it was stupid but admitted they needed it to fill a gap in the script's plot.

This movie is pure guilty pleasure. It feels like written by a ten year old, with all its ridiculous flaws and awesome scenes proving that.

Especially when the podcaster guy along with Millie Bobby Brown and her friend survived Mecha Godzilla's attack while the bad guys died, I said it myself: "They Survived This!" *Ding!*"
Also when he was on Florida when he met with 2 security guys, he's also the only one who survived it, I also called it: "He survived this!" *Ding!*
Interestingly enough I actually hear someone watching something like cinemasins video with this iconic ding sounds when I first watching GvK on theater I remember choking on my popcorn when I heard the ding sounds
"Scene does not contain a lap dance. *ding*" has entered my joke lexicon because of this channel, lol.
Missed a couple sins I though I would point out:
Gravity is measured in G's where 1 G is the gravity of the Planet Earth. So if a person was hit w/ the entire gravity of a planet while on earth that is literally the definition of a G. Which everyone experiences all the time. Even if you were to say the gravity inverted going from 1G to -1G that is only a difference of 2G which is easily tolerable by human beings and would not be fatal.
In the Image of the hollow earth you can see the inside environment forms a sphere but when they arrive it morphs into 2 parallels planes.
Entering hollow earth requires you to go through some sort of weird dimensional portal and gravity inversion, but when Godzilla blast hole in the ground to create a tunnel there both of these phenomenon vanish.

I’ve watched these videos so much when I go to the theater to watch a new movie the sin counter goes off in my head
Couple other things:
- Fighter jets flying into close proximity to fire missiles that have a range well beyond the danger zone
- Random Kong whisperer lady tells a naval captain to fire depth charges
- Godzilla is detected when he's right next to the ships, would have been picked up waaay earlier by sonar equipment
11:00 - Even as a child, seeing this type of fake out for the first time, it didn't phase me one bit. Movie has an hour to go, sure as shit all main characters wouldn't die in a random crash. One of THE stupidest Hollywood tropes there are.
I held out hope that maybe all the boring humans would die and the last hour was godzilla and Kong working out their differences without human interference.
I'd actually be quite surprised if a movie did that trope but the plane actually did crash but everyone managed to somehow survive.

As someone who lives in Hong Kong I can tell you that someone here made a review and in one part they stated that Hong Kong does NOT have so much neon and stuff on the buildings.
Also, while the final fight would certainly have killed a lot of people, Hong Kong only has about 7 million people so I don't think there would be 5/7 of the population at the battlefield.

Kong dropping the axe wasn't a sign of him bowing to Godzilla cause if that were the case Godzilla would have attacked him again for not doing what the monsters in Godzilla's movie. Him dropping the axe was a show of no more harmful will towards Godzilla.

9:35 yes because Godzilla was fighting to defend not fighting for food. The thing he was defending against stopped moving, so assuming it was dead which most animals would do in that situation, he left. Thats one of the most realistic parts of the movie
Defend what? The middle of the ocean? Was Kong's 'Titan Power TM' threatening Godzilla while he was just passing through? If he stopped because he realized Kong wasn't here for a fight then speeding up- not stopping- would have been a better way to communicate to Godzilla that they're just passing though. And wasn't it just a few in-universe months ago that Godzilla was buddy-buddy with the Navy? They went from cruising together to kill on site just for the sake of having an earlier fight before the audience fell asleep.
Seems like Godzilla hella started it. And if he fought Kong because of some 'Mythic Rivalry' then he would have made sure his neck was ripped out.
But I guess nothing really matters since Godzilla is somewhere between super-human smart and primal lizard brain dumb depending on the filmmaker's needs.

He attacked the facility because of Mecha Godzilla a threat to him ablnd his reign, he attacked Kong on the ship because Kong was a threat to him and his reign. He defended his title in a weird way. When everyone stopped moving the assumption was they were dead meaning he would not longer have to fight so he left

I love the movie really I did it was incredible to see the two biggest strongest headliners throw down against each other and unite with each other I haven’t seen a big epic showdown like this in years between monsters they should make more giant fights like this but I’m gonna be completely honest I think the only thing wrong with this is that it focuses too much on the humans then on the monsters I mean in the previous Godzilla movies they focused more on Ford Brody and Mark Russell then on Godzilla we hardly see him on the screen it’s supposed to be his movie it hardly makes him look like he’s the main character when he should be I think if it focused on Godzilla and Kong more maybe there could’ve been more action between the two then just 3 rounds but I really did love it

A bit of clarification on one sin though, when Kong was "re-energized" it wasn't done with the middle earth energy. They used the power supply from the ship itself. It was mentioned earlier that they generated enough energy to power a city, letting the audience know they had the capacity of producing large amounts of power. A giant gorilla heart defibrillator...

One thing Mr.Sins... The evil girl when they were on the carrier stated that the energy tech used to power the Gravity drives that protects them could power a city. They just pulsed the energy from the normal tech in the ship.
