- Siebe Vanhee is used to achieving his goals. He graduated in the Social Work field, but followed his passion and became a professional big wall climber. As an athlete he mastered the art of balance, but he felt his own life was missing it; he wanted to give something back.
This search led Siebe to learn of Escalando Fronteras, a Mexican ONG that uses climbing as a means to help vulnerable youngsters.
And now after years of dreaming together, Siebe is returning to Monterrey, to team up with local climber Choco and “offer him a really cool, intense, out of comfort, big wall experience.”
But the climb turns out to be more complex than that. - Sport

Awesome, I know Choco from the program in Mexico with Alex and Nadia, and he always had a smile. I love that the film shows the raw feelings behind the grand objective, and how to see that progress is not making the summit: it's making friends for life, living intense experiences and processing them to know the path before us!

Choco, I see you facing your fears and learning to trust your self & others too, you are a warrior. I hear your sadness when you were afraid to continue, a feeling we all can relate with and share w you. I understand how hard this process was for you, and i truly value your bravery in speaking up for what you want, especially when deciding to stay or go. You are a winner. I so appreciate you tackling something so incredibly challenging and making so much progress along the way. You have reminded us all of the power of facing our fears & working thru them. 'Imperfect action trumps inaction every time' - to be brave enough to take 'Imperfect actions' makes us champions so much more than not, keep moving, si se puede! Thank you Choco, you are my hero 🎉
Great watch, and well done to all of those involved. I love climbing myself but i think conquering a big wall would play on my fear of big heights too so i completely understand where Choco is coming from, especially at such a young age. Keep going buddy!

Es importante considerar que tanto el comportamiento de cada ser humano esta influenciado por la cultura de su pais y generaciones previas. The fact that he CAN do it, and is overcome by fear, even when the greatest motivation comes along (pro climbers, videographers, north face etc.) says a lot. Animo, amor a todos.

I think it’s hard to understand the lives of people who don’t come from privileged backgrounds if you came from a privileged background. Having the time and energy for adventurous leisure isn’t something most people ever have.
Beautiful. I guided in Potrero Chico 2002-4 and got to climb a ton in La Huasteca, that canyon and Guitarritas canyon are incredible.
