. For crimes committed on or after October 1, 1995, inmates are required to serve 85% of each sentence imposed. Satisfaction of 85% includes time served in the county jail as credited by the sentencing court. These inmates are eligible to earn up to 10 days per month incentive gain time. This gain time is earned until the tentative release date reaches the date equal to 85% of the sentence imposed. At that point, gain time no longer is applied to reduce the sentence. For example, at a rate of ten days per month you can earn approximately 913 days of gain time while in service of a ten year sentence. However, due to the requirement that at least 85% of the sentence must be served, only 548 days, or 1 and 1⁄2 years, could apply to the release date.”

A few winters and summers 😂 lol of beating his meat
Nope. Not in fl. He has to serve a minimum of 85% down here. Fl don’t have parole like most states
I was just about to say not here in Florida. 85% don’t matter what! We don’t let people out due to overcrowding in Florida we build a new prison with more beds!
Lmao where the hell y’all from no such thing as “overcrowding” in southern prisons lol you gon sleep on the floor before they let you go home

Idk what state that is, but he getting 10 years for having a firearm? Was he a felon? Young black men need to stop thinking the criminal life is cool. I get that you may be forced into it due to your circumstances, but there's other ways.. I used to sell drugs and shit, but that shit would always go sideways. I had a son to feed, so I just started being realistic. I went to college and got a degree in finance.. now I have a 85k job and potential to earn over 100k in a few years.. luckily no felonies so I can buy as many guns as I want. There are other cool ways to live than to just be thuggin'. I hope other young black men like me can find a better way. The younger you are the better it is to get started.

She’s right about the 3 gun charges but shes definitely wrong taking his juvenile record in consideration, being charged as an adult in state court. Your juvenile record is only brought up against you in federal court. And since when did they count dismissals?? He sounds like he was on drugs with all those misdemeanors…

With his history of violating probation it’s a good thing there’s no parole in Florida so he won’t have to worry about violating his parole when he gets out Florida is an 85% mandatory state so he hast to do 85% of his time minimum and that’s if he completes programs
Not programs. 85% if he earns all his gain time. Only the federal system offers a time cut with certain programs. In state, he has to earn his gain time. 10 days a month til he reaches 85%. The feds give u all ur gain time when u get there and it’s up to u to keep it.
