Swissair Fleet - the Original 1960-1975

  • The original Swissair Jet Fleet is on display here with the sleek silver belly look, the best livery since...especially the black mask wearing 747s in the fleet. Perhaps a full red tail might have been all that was needed to keep the livery around.
    Regardless, I never hear one bad word about this airline. Sure they had their bankrupt tragedies like many great carriers but a Swissair 747 was beauty to behold when they flew into JFK (or any airport).
    Keep a look out, Swssair II project with the dark cheatline look is coming shortly!

    The smokey exhaust on those old JT3D engines brings back memories.

    Back in 1978 I flew on both of the only two 747s Swissair had at that time, HB-IGA outbound from JFK and HB-IGB on the return from Zurich. I stepped on the planes expecting to see one the colorful interiors typical of the 1970s but oh no. These Swissair planes were all business, with light grays and aqua greens. Very plain. No gaudy red and orange seats on these babies. They were also the first flights I had ever been on with male flight attendants.

    How much time did the CV-990 save over a 707 or DC-8 on a transatlantic flight?

    porque no haces un video sobre la flota histórica de american air?

    • @Starboard76
      @Starboard76  Před 3 lety +1

      No se preocupe, amigo mío, todas las aerolíneas importantes de la historia obtendrán al menos un video de mi canal. American Airlines llegará muy pronto. Y mi canal ya tiene algunos videos detallados de American Airlines disponibles ahora: Dallas Fort Worth # 1 AA (Braniff es # 2), Miami Internationl # 3 - American Airlines y Dallas - Love Field Airport.
      Pero sí, viene un video de Fleet ... dos de hecho.
      AA - Astrojet
      AA - ¡Pájaro plateado rojo, blanco y azul!
