As a girl who is in their 4th season of basketball I can relate to this so much especially with the jewelry because I always forget until I’m about to start the game
When I played, there was always THAT girl who just HAD to get her ears pierced right before the game. Then she makes it everyone’s problem that she’s got to wear tape because, “I can’t take them out, I just got my ears pierced!” *flips hair in your face and the coach rolls their eyes* The best part is when the mom gets involved. 😂 🤦♀️
SO TRUE. I was on the volleyball team w/ all the popular girls and one of them got like 2 new piercings on both ears during the season and then got mad when she couldn't play in games. Thd coaches specifically adressed earrings, piercings, and jewelery BEFORE we even started practicing for games.
YES OML. Two girls on my team got their noses repierced in the middle of the season and made a huge problem when they had to take their jewelry out. We have to take our jewelry out even when we practice, so I don't know what made them think they were gonna keep those in.
the basketball girls at my school were so nice, one time I was crying in the bathroom (long story) and they came in, didn't ask no questions just hugged me and told me it would be alright. I really needed it at the time. they didnt know me from adam but they dropped what they were doing until i felt better. I would trust basketball girls with my whole soul.
🥺 that’s true. When I played I flipped over another teams girl. I busted my knee cap and she whacked her head hard. I instantly got up (shouldn’t have done that cause my knee is still f’d) and went to her telling her to not move. She held my hand the whole time. I felt so bad cause it was my fault we flipped. And her coach was surprised I would even do that as she’s not my teammate. My coach wasn’t surprised I’ve done that with a lot of people who got hurt on the court. Those girls are one of a kind !
@@Sinstat from how it looked from my moms perspective I flipped over the girl slamming my right knee into the court taking her down with me and she whacked her head badly.

I tried doing school sports but I was socially rejected during try outs. I genuinely wanted to be on the team but then I started taking AP classes and theatre (which I was also socially rejected in because I'm the quiet odd ball). I used to do special Olympics a lot when I was 8-16 yrs old so it was also new learning all of the positions (didn't have them or do them, just the basics which turned to have more aggressive games against teams, and strict rules that came with school sports which made me a even bigger odd ball).
