The uses of a knife are endless. The most useful tool man has ever concieved. Bear mace is also a good thing to carry not necessarily just for bears

Yes you should even if a small pocket knives like a huntsman learn to build a fire too!

I carry a small knife. I've came to my limit of no more than 3oz, so there's still a variety to chose from.

I dont go to walmart without a pocketknife...to camp without a knife is malpractice

I carry a CRKT minimalist neck knife. Can be worn under shirt in town or even strapped to shoulder strap on trail.
