I finally saw these guy's last night at The Ranch in Fort Myers all i can say is this guy isn't human as far as his vocal ranges goes it's really loud and he puts on one hell of a show it blew my mind away way more then i was expecting out of Jackyl the energy level is out of this world
It was a memorable moment. End of the day I hope they both look back and smile. Both of them look old as hell. I like what Tom is doing in current year.
A friend of mine got in a fight with Jesse about 25 years ago. he walked into a bar. Jesse was at a private table already primed up. He saw my buddy, jumped over the railing, landed right in front of him and says “Hey MFer! Remember Me?” and swung and clocked my buddy in the face. My buddy, who was an Army Ranger at the time, got a couple hits in after being caught off guard and the bouncer kicked him out. Funny thing about this is, he has never in his life met Jesse Dupree or ever been in the same room as him. hahah. Makes a great story. He still laughs about it.
WTF?? Lol. That's bizarre. Maybe a young, drunk JJD had reporters/execs there and was trying to stir up controversy and publicity, like he did when he chopped up the ceiling with his chainsaw at the steak house in the early days.
Jesse and Jackyl played at the Oklahoma State Fair and I got to meet the band. Jesse asked me if I played any instrument I told him I played pedal steel guitar his exact words to me was" Dude youre a hero for playing a difficult instrument. Don't ever stop playing because there are a few of you guys left". I was forever grateful to his kind words. Needles to say I can honestly say after that I found a friend in Jesse James Dupree
Thankfully a few country artists have steel pedal guitars in their bands. One of my favorite instruments to hear in country music. I couldn’t play a one string instrument if it existed so I admire anyone that’s musically gifted. Hopefully you can pass on your talents to the younger generation of musicians.
I only knew about him from the Tom green show, from what I saw of him there, I found him to be a very easy-going, happy relaxed down to earth fella, I think he is a very nice decent person and I wish him well
