Pro tip with the plastic hard ones, cut open the top and pour small grain sand into them and tape the top back up. Now you have cheap training plates! Great fir workouts or running them on the field to make a challenge for yourself
Also for training exercises without needing to wear a real plate.
This^
I just use a real plate never thought to buy fake plats
@@tdteliteboy8991 hey I mean if you got em use em
Make a challenge for yourself actually join the military 🤔
I cringe when i see security guards with flat plate carriers.
POV: "CALL YOUR HITS!"
I was waiting for someone to say that
ya hate to say it but thats the number one reason i hate seeing people with plate carriers. you know there not calling their hits unless u get a limb or headshot. its not their fault and i dont blame them for it all, just sucks sometimes.
@@kylebatchelor8332I feel every single bb that hits my plate carrier
Me: Wears chest rig
@NOOBS REVIEWS why not do both?
Chest rig, hoodie, cargo pants, and balaclava/eye protection combo is for chads.
Me: my chest rig has plates xD
Chad
@bLackstar my 6b43 says no... In cqb envyroment protects good
Me who uses real plates: hehe realism
Train how you fight.
Me with a real gun and real plates: hehe ultra realism

You can also fill them with actual plates
Me: runs in the the field naked
+999 Agility
You realistically: running into the field with proper equipment
@@thatoneocto what? This makes no sense
@@okobongdinko4606 I’m saying that realistically they’d wear proper equipment
@@thatoneocto well yeah, it's a joke. He made a joke I didn't think it would need to be clarified he is joking
Regardless of what kind of plate you keep in your carrier, we can all agree, having something is better than having nothing at all
Play airsoft completely naked, half painted blue, screaming incoherently at the worms, like a real man
From experience, if you’re going to fill out your carrier with a plate make it a foam plate, more comfortable for prone position as well as lack of noise so you can be sneeki breeki.
would you reccomend i use cardboard from my local grocery store, essentially an infinite supply of cardboard for prestine armor based on your words
@@Fork.l cardboard is fine. It's cheap and everyone's been using it since the dawn of time
When you use actual plates and can’t feel the bbs
I think that's why so many people don't feel themselves getting hit. Cause of too much fabric like a plate carrier. But extra mags are needed. There are mag pouches.
Honestly, I put plates in my JPC and it makes it fit better
I feel like the hard cover would be better because of the noise it makes because the soft one would absorb the bb while the hard one would make a noise and you definitely hear it so you don’t accidentally not call hits.
I'm a bit cheap when it comes to buying trauma pads for my real plates and just use the Evike Foam plates as a trauma pad. Shit works.
@@Grunt-Barra I use the light weight level 3+ from shell back. It's not that thick and my carrier can take some pretty thick plates. Up to 1.26 inches
😂 remember watching yall back when i was 12 great to see yall still the same old people
I went El cheapo and used pizza boxes cut to fit and used them as "plates". The pizza box stays put, lasts forever, and is completely silent. 😀
Not to mention, it helps with the shape of the vest and allows the vest to really preform like a real one.
I use non ballistic rated training plates. It adds to the larp
Hey Matt (or anyone else), I'm looking for some weighted 6x6 side plates for exercise purposes but none seem to exist! What do?
Predator armor sells lvl steel plates for about 100 bucks, definitely heavy, but you get used to it after a couple days of play Edit: just read 6x6, my bad predator armor may have some
With the hard ones it can let you know if you’ve been hit in case you don’t feel it
Im goin to war
Gets two plates :45$
Nahh gets kitchen plates
I’m ready
Ceramic coating 🫡😂
Could i cosplay as Dozer with those?
Im going to put a xylophone in my plate carrier so next time I’m mag dumped I can hear a nice song
I just use interlocking foam mats cut to the sape of a plate
I like to do anything I can to add weight to my carriers for airsoft including my AR500 plates to enjoy how much lighter my real carrier is and be more effective when it actually comes to my life.
I cut a piece of drywall in the shape of a plate and it works well also free from extra drywall
I used to put my math notebook as my front plate, it had hard cardboard covers, worked flawlessly lol
Love putting 5 rounds dead center on plate carrier bros for them to not even feel it, super cool definitely my favorite part of airsoft.
And then you never feel an airsoft bb again
Yeah it's actually a very common issue for airsoft players
Exactly
I just cut some gym mats to the correct plate size and stuff them in.
Then ppl gonna call u a cheater cuz u don’t feel shit
Alternatively they have plates that simulate weight. So you could get a little free workout in while you play.
Thanks for the helpful content
CZcams wants me to get back into airsoft
*Puts real HE ammunition in vest*
I bought my AR From you hasn't let me down sense
Don't forget about mesh plates. It's plates but it's just a hexagon grid
I'm waiting for some of their GBB to get back in stock
Meanwhile ur friend over there is using real steel plate to gel soft
Make em hexagon
And then there's me who uses weighed plates to offset the weight of my camol sack 🤣
If you don't wanna buy dummy plates, you can use cardboard and tape, if you wanna watter proof it you can do what I did and use spray paint clear coat to protect it a bit.
You can also use cheap cutting boards from the dollar store and cut them to shape.
I know guys that play airsoft with their real plates for the added immersion 😂
I just use books and magazines stacked together
You can stop that noise with literaly just a piece of bluetac
And when I shoot someone with them they won't feet it and still think their in
You have an interesting way with words.. Anyways. The noise it’s makes will tell them they’ve been hit
@@MrSimplified I wear rifle rated steel. You will still feel it, and it makes a musical little 'TINK' unless it hits some other equipment. Even if you don't notice, (still happens sometimes) the rest of the guys wear things like this too. Why would they think you should know you got hit if they wouldn't? They'll just pop you again somewhere you'll feel it.
Ope. That was for the original post.
Haha I just use level III steel plates with trauma pads behind
Me: real soft plates for work
Could you cut out a couple holes in the plastic plate and fill with spray foam? Seems to be the best of both worlds.
I mean, actual Kevlar isn’t very heavy, so you could bring that to the field and just in case some weird shit goes down, you’d be ready anyway
I need sum a full squad is pushing me
my brother just wore level 4 plates to his first airsoft game
I run the hard plastic plates with sand in them and they weight about as much as my real plates which is nice cause I can train with them
If I can able to play airsoft again I would just wear cosplay armour just to be different from the rest
Cheap tip.. just use an old sleeping bag foam pad and cut insert pieces to size. Lighter breathable and will fit pockets exactly
These are like soft vs hard armor
Or you could play airsoft in neon pink camo like a true man
I'd probably use the plastic one so I can hear when I get hit, where yes you can probably hear the material when it gets hit it would make much louder sound if it hit a hollow plastic
Me in my us WW2 gear “what plate carrier?”
kids out here using ballistic vests for plastic bbs 🤣
Me:uses my dad’s plates
Cut the hollow one open.
Stuff the foam one inside.
Follow for more tips.
I just went to the premiere of the prey legend of karnoctus and noticed evike logos on their plate carriers
“Handle with care” on a “bulletproof” vest🤣😭
Yeah they say that because a lot of the plates nowadays are ceramic and basically that means if you drop it that might compromise it's ability to stop a bullet. Also they'll really only stop one bullet in the same spot. The reason steel isn't used is because upon impact the bullet will effectively explode causing shrapnel that could go up and hit you in the head making the vest ineffective for it's intended purpose while also weighing more.
@@junkie_cosmonaut9622 doesn't ceramic also explode
@@junkie_cosmonaut9622 any quality ceramic plate is multi hit rated
Dude u love your website got my sniper and pistol off there
Me who actually spent almost 1000 bucks on real plates
Same lol
Where can I get cheap trainer plates that fit my medium crye jpc? I want to balance out my plate carrier because I run an air tank. I’d need a front plate that’s about 2-3 lbs
Buy one of the hard plastic ones they show in the video, cut a small opening in the top and fill with sand to match the weight you need! Cheap and effective
@@vigilant.tactical was gonna do this with the foam ones and just cut it to fit a dumbbell cause I don’t wanna make a mess with sand lol
@@barnard. fair! What ive done is the sand and then duct taped it all back up so no sand gets in my kit.
And when you get hit you don’t call it out!
Then where the hell do the call of duty characters put the 3rd plate
I put books in mine lol
What stops me from making a wood one, or an actual steel one? Buy one is more expensive, but if you can make it your self it can feel more accurate and cheaper.
Of course if you don't have the skills to make one you should probably buy them
@@braxtonbutcher61 Because real plates aren't flat, and flat plates in your carrier are going to suck because instead of a conforming curve spreading weight and pressure evenly you'll get bruises and sores where the weight is concentrated. The equipment to heat and curve a steel plate thick enough to fill out a carrier properly is far more expensive than the 80 bucks for a real multicurve 3+ armor plate.
How come you guys do not cell hexagonal plates to let air through, if you do and I just can’t find them can you or someone link a medium sized plate
There's also honeycomb plastic ones
Well don’t get the real one, you don’t know anything about being uncomfortable until you have to wear that for 24/7
You need a better carrier.
Yeah man, just sitting down with a plate on is draining
i got shot in the nipple point blank with a shotgun. needless to say that was the day i got a plate carrier
Dude I live in Australia and own a 5.11 tactec with foam inserts, like who trying to teach if a Aussie knows
It’s going to be hard to feel anything at all.
The first thing that came into my mind was Call Of Duty Warzone
Definitely recommend foam unless filling plastic ones with sand
Meanwhile I cut out cardboard and put it in the vest 💀
Me: cardboard and duct tape...
I have some cheap plate carrier and it came with 2 foam plates
what about the hexagon looking one that’s plastic and has holes in it?
There's a hex grid one too
I'm bouta go to the field and get a meal
Tip real one work too so you can use your regular vest
Specifically for airsoft and exercise I run steel plates in my avs. If I'm doing airsoft, it's also gonna be exercise :D (I have ceramics for actual ballistic protection. Don't use steel.)
Can you get weighted ones?
Will the fully licensed famas be a aviable again
I need these for ruck marches
Can I just use actual plates like food plates
Why not coat the rubber ones in thin plastic to get the best of both worlds
Weighted foam, make it
Bruh the plates are heavy af
Or instead of spending the money on both a carrier and fake plates you could run a chest rig that doesn't require plates
You only need a vest for carrying mags and other gear so I’d rather stay away from this sort of thing. Feel like it’ll only make it harder to tell if you’ve actually been hit
What is the name of you're website
You got 10x12 dummy plates?
