      @voyre Před rokem

      Yes you should export your 360 videos so that they are in the Equirectangular format before bringing them in to Resolve for editing. If you are interested in learning how to stitch 360 footage yourself you can check out our playlist of tutorials for Mistika VR, which is a professional 360 video stitching software: czcams.com/play/PLNqcC6HQIGK_JLhuv2EktUQtat6HBrD0b.html

    Hey Voyre! I only installed WarpStitch to convert dual fisheye to equirectangular. It doesn't show up though. I also installed Reframe360 which does show up. I can find both files on my harddrive. Do you know why?

      @voyre Před 8 měsíci

      Hi Anil, are you using the free version or studio version of Resolve? Most of the KartaVR plugins only work in Fusion and not in the Resolve Edit tab, can you confirm that you don't see them as effects available in Fusion?

      @@voyre No I'm using the studio version - but yes, I found them directly in Fusion and not in the Edit tab like Reframe360. But it only works with fisheye material, not with double fisheye. Do you know any tool that I can use to convert dual fisheye into equirectangular?

    • @voyre
      @voyre Před 8 měsíci

      @@anilmacwan we use MistikaVR for all of our stitching and conversion of the original fisheye footage to equirectangular, so I don't have a recommended workflow for doing it directly in Resolve/Fusion at this time. I believe WarpStitch is supposed to help you stitch the footage together, but I haven't tried that out yet. I am having some trouble dropping my 360 video in to Davinci. Do I need to reformat the video file for it to work?

    • @voyre
      @voyre Před 4 měsíci

      What kind of video is it? Resolve should be able to import and work with almost every kind of video file. But there are some formats, like “.mxf” files that it cannot import. If that is the case then yes you will need to export your video file into a format that Resolve can use.

    Thank you for making this video. I've been working in Resolve for awhile now, but Insta360 is brand new to me. I followed your tutorial for installing the Karta VR plugin, and everything throughout the process showed on my end the same as in your video. I restarted Resolve to insure the plugin took effect in Fusion. I created a test project and dropped a short insta 360 clip that I had previously first brought into the Insta 360 Studio to stitch the two clips that the camera creates creating a single clip. I dropped the clip into the timeline and scrolled down (effects/Warp/kvrReframe360Ultra) and dragged the effect into the timeline, but nothing happened. Nothing appeared in the timeline to indicate that the plugin was applied to the timeline/clip. Any suggestions?

    • @voyre
      @voyre Před 9 měsíci

      Hey @Graybeard_ So to clarify, you are using the ReFrame360Ultra plugin in the Resolve timeline? If you go to the right side of the screen under "Inspector" and then "Effects" do you see the Reframe360Plugin available there? If it was applied to the clip and you select the clip, the effect controls should show up there. You can also use the effect inside of Fusion. If you right click on your clip you can "Open in Fusion Page" which will switch you over to the Fusion page. Then you can also apply the effect as a node in the chain and work the effect there. Let me know if that works for you! Thanks for watching.

      Hello voyre, thank you for replying. My effects panel is on the left side when in Editing, but yes, the Reframe360Plugin shows under "Warp" in effects. However, using your tip, when I click on the fusion tab at the bottom and then select effects from the top bar and scroll down to "Warp" I do not see Reframe360Plugin listed there. Interesting and confusing! : P @@voyre

      One more thing I just discovered:
      Back in the editing tab (not fusion), effects/warp/Reframe360Plugin. If I place my cursor over the (I'll call it a button for looks) Reframe360Plugin (in the effects/warp panel), an image from the clip appears (almost like a thumbnail) along with a thin vertical line/bar which if I move the line/bar back and forth, slightly moves the image. I'm not sure, but it seems as though the plugin is seeing the clip. Sorry if this makes things more confusing and harder to see in the minds eye, but maybe it helps to confirm something.

      @@Graybeard_ When in Fusion, the plugins for Karta won't be under "Warp" but you should see them under Tools>Kartavers>KartaVR. The tools there are nodes so you'll drag them into your fusion node tree and place it in there. I've got some videos on Fusion specifically if you need some help with how to put things into the node tree, you can find those in my channel here: czcams.com/video/ox06f8wxn4Q/video.html

    Hai? How to uninstall Karta VR from DaVinci resolve 18? Thanks

    • @voyre
      @voyre Před rokem

      Hello, to uninstall KartaVR you will need to manually delete any of the ".atom" files from Fusion. On Windows these files are located at: "C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Fusion\Reactor\Atoms\Reactor"
      You'll find a series of files in that folder that start with "com.AndrewHazelden.KartaVR" and then have the name of the specific script / fusion effect and you can remove any of the ones you don't want from there.
      For additional info about the Reactor install manager, please see: www.steakunderwater.com/wesuckless/viewtopic.php?t=1775#anchor-uninstall

      Hi there, if you are using the free version of Resolve, it may not allow you to install extra plugins. I'd recommend investing the the Studio version of the software, our workflow needs the other VR tools in Fusion which are only available on the Studio version (paid).

      @@1stAmendmentDrone hi there, I don’t really understand your issue clearly from your comment. Would it be possible to record your screen so I can better understand what exactly you’re trying to accomplish? I’m not familiar with an “all black” issue on half of the shot and it’s not clear what you are trying to do with the KartaVR plugins, it sounds like you might be trying to stitch your insta360 footage using KartaVR? If you can clarify with more specifics I can try to help, but yes 360 video is a difficult format to work with, it’s not just you, many folks struggle with different aspects of the workflow as it’s complicated and many steps and different software is required.

      The footage i meant all black was the 360 view, lets more than say 180° had no image at all. In the insta app it does.

      @voyre Před 4 dny +1

      @@1stAmendmentDrone What it sounds like is you are importing your original video captures from your Insta360 camera into Resolve/Fusion. Based on your description I would assume you are using a camera with just two lenses such as an X3 or X4 style of camera. If this is the case, then what you are seeing is the Unstitched versions of your footage which neither Resolve/Fusion or KartaVR is usually used to process, they are used for cleanup of stitched footage not for stitching footage. To clarify, the first steps that need to happen with any 360 footage is stitching. You either need to use the Insta360 Studio app or another program designed for stitching (we use MistikaVR, professional stitching software which I have other videos about). Once the video is stitched you will have whats called an "Equirectangular" 360 video which is a 2:1 aspect ratio. Once you have your footage stitched correctly into that format is when you would bring that footage into Resolve / Fusion for editing, cleanup, color and any other post production you want to complete. Hope that helps!
