Personally, I absolutely loved BioShock Infinite's combat system, and I'm super excited for this. There's also the story DLC too though, Burial at Sea. If you weren't a fan of the combat, than just get that one and avoid this one. I, for one, am pumped for this.
Bioshock 2 had multiplayer and it was widely seen as one of the best multiplayer experiences of the year/decade. And from when I played it, was insane fun. So yeah, Bioshock and multiplayer can, and have gone together extremely well.
I think as the first piece of DLC its a great choice they made. Its to get the players back into the feel of Infinite. Something that'll keep the players playing for hours to come. Then they'll release what we've been hoping for all along. More amazing narrative! Great job Irrational! You guys are awesome!
One thing that does look actually kinda cool about this DLC is that the arena's look somewhat bigger than most of the combat areas in the base game. Hopefully this allows for more varied combat, and better use of the sky-lines in the maps in which they are featured.
Alot of good multiplayers die fast, just because of the publicity they received. Crysis has a great multiplayer aspect, but almost all those servers are dead.
I loved this DLC. It's a lot of fun, something you can just play for hours and beat your own score or get the Blue Ribbons... It was nice, quite relaxing :)
I've had a great time with this DLC. It puts working with your vigors and guns to a whole different level. Maybe this isn't what I expected from Irrational, but I'm glad they put this out. This will keep me busy until Burial...
God come on guys! Why there are so many dislikes on this video? Frankly, I love the combat of this game greatly and now I'm very excited to try this DLC!
I enjoyed itI was excited to find that tear at the end.FYI do a possession trap, regular possession just for the the cutscene, &then run like hell until it wears out. Fully fleshed out animation and then you can do zoom in to see any details.Pretty cool. Use another vigor or shoot and it will take you the cutscene as well. Btw the door closes when you use the tear so you can't go back out. You can use the other tear, but when you come back from it, bodies, leftover objects disappear; cept puddle
This dlc gives you 3 open environment areas to fight. Finally! And the combat is fun and smooth it each map. And there is a whole museum room to fill using money you earn with kills and weapons/vigors to upgrade. This is fun and for 5 bucks? Hell yes
I'm just looking forward to all the additional Lutece material. Also the museum will probably be nice, as anyone who saw the Rapture museum on the Bioshock 1&2 compilation can testify.
Are you kidding? The dlc is fun and the archaeology room is a bonus. It only cost 5 bucks, so for that price the dlc is even better. This dlc is actually bringing me back to play the game because of the replay value.
This actually looks insanely fun. More moments where Elizabeth chucks you a shotgun just when you run out of ammo and you proceed to push some more shit in
I LOVE the DLC since it's challenging and fun, however there is a few things I wish that were done with this. There could have been two modes: Custom/Free Mode, where you can set up what you wanna fight against, how many you wanna fight against, what limits or handicaps or perks you get, etc. And then there could have been a randomized Endurance mode, where you get set up with random NPCs that you have to kill with random optional blue ribbon challenges. This would be an endless climber fight.
I actually really enjoyed this. Let you upgrade as you play this side part as well as thrown in a lot of neat concept art, original music you may have missed in the game (like "girls just wanna have fun for example) and the combat provides a decent enough challenge. For five dollars I say it's worth it.
When you actually understand the bioshock universes they make 100% compete sense. Bioshock is also 100% normal when you understand it and isn't weird. 0% weird.
They are releasing a story based DLC set in Rapture, but as with Infinite itself they are taking their time and polishing it to perfection. This is just a timekiller to get you psyched for that, really. From what IG have delivered in the past, I'm trusting that they're making sure the Rapture experience is out of this world, but they know that we've been waiting. Also, the combat in Infinite is far more diverse than COD, so it's fun to fully explore it without having to keep up with that story!
Wow really? I was expecting some Songbird answers or more Columbia. But the hell with it. Real Booker and Elizabeth's stories are done, and I'm glad to have even played them. I am also excited about the DLCs coming.
Now I understand their motto of the season pass. "More game, more story, more adventure" Clash in the Clouds is the more game, Burial at Sea is the more story, and the next will be more adventure lol And given the fighting and shooting mechanics of this game, an Arena mode would provide a decent challenge for some people. And Leaderboards? I'm surprised more people aren't interested
While Bioshock 2's multiplayer definitely wasn't ground-breaking, or even all that spectacular, when it came out it was a refreshing break from every other multiplayer shooter out at the time. That's why I enjoyed it.
I think the problem people are having is that after seeing the Burial at Sea trailer, they want all 3 parts of the DLC to be in Burial at Sea. But I do agree, this one looks fun too.
Another unique thing is that this allows you to try out different vigors and upgrade other weapons. What the original story lacked was gameplay progression. And this gives you the advantage of having that in the fighting so you at least know what kinds of weapon choice you'd desire more. I don't mind if you disagree with me or not but I'm calling genius on irrational here.
I love the combat in Infinite so I'm pleased we get a big playground. Not the most in depth (Burial at Sea takes that hook line and sinker) but fun. Bring it on, I look forward to running wild this evening.
Y'know what, I mostly find DLCs with stuff like this a waste of time, that was just thrown together as filler, but with Infinite it makes sense. Getting to try out all the weapons fully maxed out, and being in crazy situations with shit-tons of firemen, using all the advanced vigors without having to play through the game again just for that..is really nice. Thanks Irrational! :)
Well do you remember the first half of batman begins? He goes high into the mountains to train with the league of shadows after finding the flower. It's was kinda like that. There I learned to Internet.
I guess Ken Levine put this in as a little treat for all the bioshock fans waiting. if he put it in early after bioshock infinite came out he would fell the player think that Clash in the Clouds is the "Big DLC" he did it In this way so we know we can prepare for Burial at Sea to come out by giving a small add on pack
there is a difference between day-one DLC (CoD, Battlefield, ahem) and after the game DLC. DLC was made for things they wanted to add after a completed game for the most part, but recently many games have tried to milk their dlc by cutting out part of the game. You're partially right, but you can tell by time of release/time of DLC release that this was made afterwords. Same with The Last of Us DLC, it hasn't come out yet because the devs are making it. On the other hand, BF4 is having day1 dlc.
This DLC really plays like an arcade mode that other games would have had just tacked on to the side. It really doesn't feel like it qualifies for being part of the three big DLCs the Season Pass promised originally promised.
This is amazing for a first DLC. Definitely something that will get me back into the game for many hours to come. Can't understand why people seems so mad about it.
No, the problem people are having is that this isn't a story driven DLC like Burial at Sea is. It's just a combat DLC where you will just kill enemies instead of finding out more about Columbia. At least that's what it looks like to me. I could be wrong.
This is part of the season pass. This is going to cost 4,99 while Burial at sea will be 2 episodes, 14,99 each. And for those 3 things its 19,99 for the season pass.
this would better with co-op
yeah
Absolutely :/
Personally, I absolutely loved BioShock Infinite's combat system, and I'm super excited for this. There's also the story DLC too though, Burial at Sea. If you weren't a fan of the combat, than just get that one and avoid this one. I, for one, am pumped for this.

OH MAN! thanks for the heads up!
wow that surprisingly worked, nice job
I love the music to this
Currently playing through it right now, loving it.
Thank you!
Also ohhh your bringing this out this weeks awsome
I'm excited for this.
SICK TRAILER!
It's practically a massive playground. This is gonna be so awesome!
just got it from steam :) first ima beat the story
Did you ever play it or read reviews? It was extremely well reviewed.
It's pretty good
One thing that does look actually kinda cool about this DLC is that the arena's look somewhat bigger than most of the combat areas in the base game. Hopefully this allows for more varied combat, and better use of the sky-lines in the maps in which they are featured.
Honestly, I'm glad they didn't rush out the story DLC. Take your time, Irrational! :)
announced today, and released today !?
THIS IS MADNESS!!
I'm loving this! Can't wait till Burial at Sea!
Played it, and beat it. I personally love it. It adds a nice challenge to the game. Now to get all the Blue Ribbon challenges.
Alot of good multiplayers die fast, just because of the publicity they received. Crysis has a great multiplayer aspect, but almost all those servers are dead.
LOVE THE MUSIC
Columbia Circle of Slaughter?
First thing that came to mind.
I loved this DLC. It's a lot of fun, something you can just play for hours and beat your own score or get the Blue Ribbons... It was nice, quite relaxing :)
That said, I'm very excited for the Burial at Sea story content.
awesome!! I was almost expecting some multiplayer fighting, but this is cool too! And holy crap, it's out already!?
I've had a great time with this DLC. It puts working with your vigors and guns to a whole different level. Maybe this isn't what I expected from Irrational, but I'm glad they put this out. This will keep me busy until Burial...
If course it is. The second DLC is called "Burial at Sea - Part 1".
God come on guys! Why there are so many dislikes on this video? Frankly, I love the combat of this game greatly and now I'm very excited to try this DLC!

2&3 DLC packs will be a 2 part detective story set in Rapture.
This dlc gives you 3 open environment areas to fight. Finally! And the combat is fun and smooth it each map. And there is a whole museum room to fill using money you earn with kills and weapons/vigors to upgrade. This is fun and for 5 bucks? Hell yes
They've announced the story DLC too. It's a 2 part detective story set in Rapture starring Booker and Elizabeth.
I'm just looking forward to all the additional Lutece material. Also the museum will probably be nice, as anyone who saw the Rapture museum on the Bioshock 1&2 compilation can testify.
Dude just be patient, they're trying are best and need our support so lets support them by being patient.
Ken Levine said he is still strugeling to get the greenlight for that game.
Playing it right now!
Even though Bioshock Infinite didn’t have new game plus, like Bioshock 1, this is close playing it.
greatness
alright i'll give it a try now, thanks for the help man! I'll let you know if it works
Love the museum
Are you kidding? The dlc is fun and the archaeology room is a bonus. It only cost 5 bucks, so for that price the dlc is even better. This dlc is actually bringing me back to play the game because of the replay value.
just started downloading it! :)
This actually looks insanely fun. More moments where Elizabeth chucks you a shotgun just when you run out of ammo and you proceed to push some more shit in
This looks fun as hell. :D
I LOVE the DLC since it's challenging and fun, however there is a few things I wish that were done with this. Combat was so much better than the previous two.
I actually really enjoyed this. When you actually understand the bioshock universes they make 100% compete sense. Bioshock is also 100% normal when you understand it and isn't weird. 0% weird.
I have to admit, it sounds like an interesting concept.
This is exactly what I wanted really
They are releasing a story based DLC set in Rapture, but as with Infinite itself they are taking their time and polishing it to perfection. Hell Jeah Brother!
Omg yes finally, I'm so buying this doc! :)

clash in the clouds... *thinks about explosions* oh I see what you did there...
I played this till I completed the museum and haven't touched it since
While Bioshock 2's multiplayer definitely wasn't ground-breaking, or even all that spectacular, when it came out it was a refreshing break from every other multiplayer shooter out at the time. That's why I enjoyed it.
This dlc kicks ass
are you aware that this is Bioshock Infinite? Literally anything is possible.
I think the problem people are having is that after seeing the Burial at Sea trailer, they want all 3 parts of the DLC to be in Burial at Sea. But I do agree, this one looks fun too.

Well said, sir.
For a first DLC pack, it's unimpressive, but it's fine because the other two will be the story-based experience we all want, so it's ok.
Oh yes!
You really aren't getting ripped off. The two burial at sea packs are $15 each by themselves so even if you never touched this you still save $10.
I love the combat in Infinite so I'm pleased we get a big playground. Not the most in depth (Burial at Sea takes that hook line and sinker) but fun. Bring it on, I look forward to running wild this evening.
Yes this DLC is included in the season pass :) they just said on twitter.
i hope they add local coop to this that would be epic
this is a really interesting choice of music for a game like bioshock......
Really, I just keep comin' back for the music.
i remember reading that the dlc will only be storywise and no mp
Y'know what, I mostly find DLCs with stuff like this a waste of time, that was just thrown together as filler, but with Infinite it makes sense. Getting to try out all the weapons fully maxed out, and being in crazy situations with shit-tons of firemen, using all the advanced vigors without having to play through the game again just for that..is really nice. God damn, not every single game needs multiplayer/co-op
This is bonus content, nothing to do with the 3 episodes of story DLC. It's there for those who want it...
It depends on the time the DLC goes up in California. It'll be up by the end of the day at least

It's definitely great dlc for people with a competitive side, good way to cater to the multiplayer/mini-game crowd.
Can't understand why people seems so mad about it.
glad it worked :D that happened to me with other games, so I just do it everytime DLC comes out on a game.
I thought it was bad until i tried it.Nice!
No, the problem people are having is that this isn't a story driven DLC like Burial at Sea is. It's just a combat DLC where you will just kill enemies instead of finding out more about Columbia. At least that's what it looks like to me. I could be wrong.
The ending for this is cool. Yes, I consider it an ending.
DON'T WORRY GUYS THIS IS JUST A BONUS IF YOU BOUGHT THE SEASON PASS. YOU STILL GET BURIAL AT SEA AND TWO OTHER STORY DLC PACKS.
they even promised 3 story dlc and we all know that this dlc is nothing but to fill the last spot so that they actually have 3 pieces of dlcs
HOLY SHIT!
Have you seen the burial at sea trailer? It looks pretty good.
This is part of the season pass. This is going to cost 4,99 while Burial at sea will be 2 episodes, 14,99 each. And for those 3 things its 19,99 for the season pass.
This will just keep us entertained until burial at sea which they will bring back the classic bio shock 1 system
I read that comment in Doctor Whooves' voice and it made it about ten times more entertaining XD
Im actually enjoying it a lot.
its actually pretty fun
Well, I loved BioShocks combat. This looks like I'd enjoy it.
i do its fun as hell im a huge fan of horde modes in games.
Touche sir. Touche.
