You should do a video based on what you do with your towels and cleaning tools after they've been used. Drying towels, cleaning towels, etc. How you clean them for the next vehicle and what you do to clean things like your brushes and wash mitts.
    Great content as ever!

Here's what works 100% PERFECTLY for me on my Mercedes Benz. Once the infotainment screen is 100% clean and dry (the way you did it at the end) I store inside the left hand door pocket is a "mini-california duster". (The "regular" california duster is for use on the outside of the car.to remove dust) The much smaller interior duster is perfect size and I use it EVERY time I get behind the wheel. I dust the dash, steering wheel, and center console which includes the infotainment system. You're probably thinking ," Man I don't want to have to do that every time..it'll take too long". It really doesn't....It just becomes a rote task no different than taking the car key out of your pocket and turning the key.... I spend less than 10 seconds dusting the dash and center console. Because of that I NEVER have to "clean" my infotainment because I keep up with it and never let it get dirty. I get comments all the time by passengers who say your car looks brand new. It really works. The mini-duster is like $9 at AutoZone or the like. Try it you like it....and you're welcome. :)

  • @davidtma3449

I use an exterior detailer spray with a plush microfiber towel. I spray it onto the towel, then gently with barely any pressure, wipe the dust and fingerprints away. Then, I flip onto the clean side and carefully buff off the residue. Now, what's left is a nice a slick finish on the screen :) ... I find this way effective for me. (I also use this method piano black interior trim)

Hello, i've applied a screen protector on my 11.5 inch Subaru crosstrek's infotainment system, unfortunately the work is of poor quality,
is there a safe way to take it off being mindful of the glue residue and how to clean it afterwards?
unfortunately i was hoping that the screen protector would help in scratch proofing, but i guess i'm going to have to go the extra mile and care for it myself.

It’s understandable, albeit a bit cheap, that a screen such as the one on this A4, which isn’t a touchscreen, but instead controlled by a swivel wheel on the console, would be made of plastic. Now why would any brand make a car touchscreen out of plastic instead of glass is beyond me. I’m looking at you, Honda, through my civic’s scratched infotainment screen.

Hopefully these screens are harder wearing than Macbooks! In any case.. be careful if the display has an anti-reflective coating. Retina display Apple Macbooks suffered from a problem when their coating became damaged and patchy with the use of cleaning solutions and microfibre cloths (forcing apple to extend their warranties for the products affected). Some people not covered had to use various techniques such as isopropynol wipes to totally remove the remaining coating just to make the screen look okay again (minus the anti-reflective properties)
