Ranjini and Gayatri rendition in marathi with a clear pronunciation of ण ठ looks so effortless as if they are Maharashtrian.
Salute to Carnatic Music and the divine voice of sisters and the musicians.
Apart from singing, music stuff, one person I would like to appreciate is Harini Tipu who is supporting on Tambura. Harini herself is a sought after singer, who has been singing in movies and concerts for a long time. But to keep a low profile and accompany her gurus on tampura is something really great and shows her as an epitome of guru bhakti.
This talented duo have added a new flavour to this song in a combination of Hindustani and Carnataki style very skillfully. Amazing Control over the ragas but differently tuned. Enjoyable to the limit !!! Thanks for the video 🙏🙏

The highlight of this Abhang is Sri Krishnas rhythmic Ghatam Krishna I am 80 years listening from my daughter's house in Chicago
They sing Carbatic and Hindustani effortlessly. Bhimplasi is a favourite with Hindustani listners. Ashada Ekadshi is special for Maharashtrians and sure lot of people will listen to this Abhang.
Abhang or abhanga (Marathi: अभंग) is a form of devotional poetry sung in praise of the Hindu God Vitthal, also known as Vithoba...the presiding deity of Pandharpur, regarded as a form of Krishna. The word "abhang" comes from a for "non-" and bhang for "ending" or "interrupting", in other words, a flawless, continuous process, in this case referring to a poem. I had been to the Vitoba temple -known as as Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Mandir in Pandharpur ( 72 km from Solapur) in 2020 February I week.. Here Marathi Abhang of Saint Tukaram in Raga Bhimpla -'Ataa kothe dhaave maney' sung by the sister duo- Ranjani & Gayatri with lovely vibrancy .....soulfully n melodiously! Best wishes..

Sir, Very Nice Comment. But, I slightly differ from this popular saying by ThiruvaLLuvar who said "Sevikku UNavu illaadha Poadhu siridhu vayitrukkum iyyapadum". I am fully convinced that Sevi could hear only if some food is there in our vayiru. I had a bitter first hand experience once. Long ago, One Evening I rushed straight away from my Office to listen to a Concert by TMK without taking any snacks. Getting caught in the tussle between my ears and stomach, I could neither enjoy fully his beautiful version of SankarabharaNam nor the snack I was forced to take from the Kiosk within the Concert Venue!! My condition was so pathetic as it was an unfulfilled evening when I returned home in the night.

Its OK sir. We should not divide North Vs South. That barrier is melting very fast. It is a question of time north musician will pick up Tyagaraj Swamigal Krithi as well .. This is bound to happen. I have experienced north supremacy in other walks of life which is now totally melted .. Same will happen for sure in Carnatic music also
Please listen to Kaushiki Chakraborty Desikan sing Carnatic music. As young Indian generation of classical musicians are listening to both Hindustani and Carnatic music there is bound to be more exploration of both traditions.
