In my opinion, Twice's vocals work better with this instrumental than the original one.
Yeah in the original their vocal needs to be softer to match the bossanova music. It feels really out of vibe with their powerful belting vocal.

The original one is a tropical summer concept while the city pop version sounds like a retro club concept. The mv concept is summer but city version also fits the concept of the song. Imagine Tzuyu’s scenes 2:10 and 3:08, it exactly looks like a retro club which fits the city pop version.

I’m convinced city pop is the perfect genre. I have yet to hear a bad city pop song
For me this works so much better than the original. Their voices sounded weird and kind of nasal in the other one. Here they sound natural and powerful and even happier and more calm for me since this doesn’t stress me out.
I knew it wasn’t their problem because they have good vocals finally I discovered the problem. Thank you for giving me an alternative version of the song because I love this one so much more! I’m gonna be listening to it this summer

the original feels like its a plateau of sound and is constantly missing something, def a quieter song compared to the last few Twice comebacks. Twice is known for their pop sound and tbh I WISH THEY JUST DID A CITYPOP COMEBACK INSTEAD OF BOSSANOVA
