    His Eminence the Fifth Gosok Rinpoche holds one of the second highest positions in Gelugpa School of Tibetan Buddhism, recognized for embodying the wisdom and compassion of past spiritual masters. His ability to express loving-kindness and impart wisdom makes him highly valuable for sentient beings seeking guidance on the spiritual path.
    In this way, he appeared in his lineage of incarnations as the Omniscient Kaudinya, the eldest of the first five disciples of Buddha Shakyamuni. Later, in Tibet, he was incarnated as Döndrup Gyatso, a famous abbot of the Drepung Gomang College. Along with Sera and Ganden, Drepung is one of the three main Tibetan monastic universities.
    Gosok Rinpoche’s lineage, whose name calls to mind his monastic affiliation and Mongolian roots, stretches back to that master who belonged to the Gelugpa or Virtuous Tradition. As a lama in the Elder's tradition, Rinpoche was most notably Longchen Rabjampa, one of the illustrious codifiers of the Great Perfection teachings. He was also Rigzin Lhungsal Nyingpo, a famous meditation master. Well-known for his unbiased views, the most Venerable Gosok Rinpoche embodies in this way a lineage of eminent spiritual guides who belong to the four traditions of Buddhism in Tibet.
    The current Gosok Rinpoche was born in 1948 in the village of Molha, near Lithang, in eastern Tibetan Kham province. Recognized at the age of four as the reincarnation of his predecessor, he was enthroned at Gosok Ladang monastery. He pursued his religious education at Sera Med monastery in Lhasa and later in India after fleeing Tibet in 1959. Graduating at the top of his class at the age of 36, he earned the title of Geshe Lharampa, equivalent to a Doctorate in Buddhist Philosophy. He furthered his studies at Gyumed Tantric College, specializing in tantric teachings and meditation.
    Significant contributions to the Buddhist community have marked Kyabje Gosok Rinpoche's life journey. His pilgrimage to Tibet in 1984, where he imparted teachings and ordained monks, highlighted his commitment to spiritual guidance. Appointed as Vice Abbot of Gyumed Tantric College by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, he continued to serve the community with dedication. His trip to Japan in 1986 showcased his outreach efforts, engaging with prominent figures in Buddhist circles. In 1988, Rinpoche became the youngest abbot of Gyumed Tantric Monastery, initiating revitalization projects with support from a Japanese Buddhist association. Later, as Abbot of Sera Monastery from 1992 to 1996, he focused on enhancing Buddhist studies and improving living conditions for monks. With his leadership roles, Rinpoche is poised to ascend to the position of Ganden Tripa, symbolizing his potential to guide the Gelugpa School spiritually.
    Kyabje Gosok Rinpoche has devoted himself to spreading the Dharma worldwide, residing primarily in Taiwan since 1996. He established Phuntsok Chöling monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal, educating young monks in traditional and modern subjects. Rinpoche's global outreach efforts have led him to visit numerous countries across Europe, America, Asia, and Africa, founding Dharma centers in several locations. His current projects focus on supporting monasteries in Eastern Tibet, addressing practical and financial challenges to ensure they fulfill their mission. Rinpoche emphasizes the importance of genuine love and compassion in daily life, striving to help sentient beings achieve personal fulfillment and contribute to a peaceful world. Through his teachings, he advocates for the cultivation of loving-kindness and compassion as essential qualities for fostering lasting peace and happiness globally.
