I remember watching this 10 times in theatre when it released. I'm just that big of an MS fan. I remember every dialogue, action and moment from this film. I'm usually a very rational and logical person who don't believe in hero worship. But...man...is he a hero! And also SSR❤ RIP my brother

In the scene where Dhoni has a face off with another player his name is Yuvraj Singh.( Mentioned by Dhoni in the movie as well ) Yuvraj Singh actually played a major role in winning the 2011 world cup because of which he was awarded the " Man of the Series" Award . In the same year Yuvraj was diagnosed with cancer, in fact in one of the world cup matches Yuvi actually vomited blood on the field, but he still decided to continue to play the match and the tournament. I remember that 2011 World Cup so clearly!! Every child, adult, elders, just EVERYONE in India, every person was watching it!! You could find no one just roaming in the streets that day!! I never enjoyed cricket, I was 11 LOL!! My whole family, even my sister who was 9 at that time, was watching it together with full focus and utter silence. It was so quiet. Everyone was having HIGH HOPES with Sachin. Tendulkar was a big name even a new born would know haha~ When he got out at such a low score, people lost hope! I remember the mood went so down... It was like "alright it's over"~ BUT THEN!! Dhoni entered the field and HE MADE A HISTORY THAT DAY!! He turned all the disappointment into a new found hope!! I wasn't that much into it... But when I heard all that commotion of India still having a chance and all those loud cheers for Dhoni, I felt so intrigued that I came and sat down quietly in front of the TV to watch the match~ The chills... I still remember those chills, that feeling, that heartbeat increasing with every second... I remember it all so clearly!! And when we won, it was just such an incredible feeling that can never be explained in words!! Even as a child, I felt like I'm witnessing a GRAND moment that'll go down in history! I felt how lucky I am to witness it in real time!! Incredible!! That feeling was just something that you can only feel and not explain~ Also, my sister started liking Malinga after that haha~ That one bowler with "Maggi-like hair" from the opposing team, as my sister used to call him LOL... he got a LOT OF PRAISES from that game as well~ Great player!! So many stories are connected with that one particular World Cup, its crazy!! You could hear people celebrating for days... Fireworks and celebrations went on for like forever!! It was such a big victory for India!! It was all over the news, obviously! That was the day which was one of its kind... Something like that was never witnessed before and will never be witnessed again!! Even if we win hundreds of Cups, that one day will remain iconic forever!! The craze for cricket here is BIG BIG fr!!

2011 World cup Final was the first cricket match I've seen. Since then MSD is my Favourite man in the world (ofcourse after my father)..... Indian Politicians , Prime Minister of India , Actors/Actresses , Other Celebs all were there for the final because we already had the fate in our team.

His father earns around 60-90 dollars monthly. he doesn't want his kid to be like him and lead a good life... it's easy for those who are watching this movie after his success to comment support him, let him be, but in real time it's a life changing decision which can't be done easily.... that is the case of many Indians Kids and Dad .. High competition and less opportunities make things difficult.
