The Mk2 Galaxy is for me a decent car, well-built in terms of quality and the seating flexibilty was my biggest plus point
I have a 08 Galaxy Ghia with 62k miles on the clock and have never heard any rattles from the overhead storage.
Although there are a couple of annoying rattles in the car. The seat belt locks rattle like mad when nobody is sitting in the middle row. I have to push them down between the seats to stop it.
Another on is in the front of the dash, up near the windscreen.It only happens at round 1,500rpm. That is bloody irritating too
in my opinion the galaxy should have been a eight seater
the best thing about the back seat is they can be moved forward to give more space to the luggage compartment
This galaxy on the video had only 59k miles when it was Mot'd last year.
Indeed, S-max sacrifices a little space, to give sharper looks and a better drive. But I'm a fan of both, my family have had loads of Fords before. You know about my Galaxy, and Mondeo, but my mother has an S-max Titanium X Sport. She likes that, my dad drives a Titanium X Focus. I know it sounds unbelieveable, however, my family likes the top spec Fords... in white XD.
just got galaxy 1.6tdci and its cool.fast and large best of both,good mpg and stop/start engine works well
isaynobuff Hi what's your thoughts on the 1.6 tdci? Reviews say it's underpowered for the galaxy. Thanks

Why do you highlight features like reverse camera, the light system and do not spent a single word on the adaptive cruise control which is a real high tech feature considering the car category and production date...

Yes
Those roof mounter storage boxes will start rattling over bumps after a few thousand miles. Unfortunate because otherwise, new Euro-Fords are silent and solid.

You think the 1.6 is fast? Wow, try driving one with the 2.0 203ps powershift auto ecoboost, you'll think that goes like shit off a shovel.
It's a bad copy of the awesome Grand Voyager.
We beg to differ Chester. The Galaxy is a very competent and capacious MPV!
