  • Learn how to make faux leather or photo stud earrings using UV Resin. In this video I'll show you how to finish off stud earrings with UV resin instead of glass cabochons to create a glossy, hard finish with a really professional look.
    You can cut the circles for the stud earrings out of faux leather or from cardstock or photo paper. You can use a Cricut or a hand punch. I have a template for the Cricut circles you can get free on my blog. Watch this video for cutting circles with a Cricut and to get the free template:

    Actually, using this method you could probably even use paper as well! Love your ideas and videos Amy! Blessings!

      Hi, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! Yes, you could! I would seal any paper a few times with something like Mod Podge and allow it try completely so the paper doesn’t darken from the resin.

      @AmyRomeu would you recommend the mod podge if you are using designs printed on photo paper? TIA...great video...and most of your links show everything on sale ✌️😉

      Hey Amy I have a question for you. Instead of UV resin, do you think that I would be able to use mod podge dimensional magic? I'm going to make this project today but unfortunately I have no more UV resin (I was going to switch brand anyway because the last one I used was kind of crappy)

      @@AmyRomeu I sure will! What size do I need to make the circles in design space so that I can cut them out on my Cricut?

    Thank you for this great tutorial. I do have a quick question. If you print on photo paper using an inkjet printer, do you need to seal the printed images first before applying the resin? Thanks in advance!

      Hi, thanks for your comment! Yes, I would seal the ink a few times and let it dry really well before applying resin.

    Do you have any recommendations for supplies that are hypoallergenic?

    • @AmyRomeu
      @AmyRomeu  Před 3 měsíci

      Hi, thanks for your comment! I don't know of any hypoallergenic supplies specifically, but I would recommend starting on a site like Etsy and searching using that term and reading the product descriptions very carefully. :)
