I love how strong Wurt's merm can be with these new additions to her army, before your friends on a server would just ask you to join a fight so you can hold F the entire time but now it's like a full on trump card with fully armored and moon-shard-buffed soldiers and you can just be a dictator building more huts and being like, "why should **I** support your efforts with my kingdom's army?"
Shadow Merm Pros: -Much Easier to get the shadow mudslinger for -don't require a resource to spawn (other than dying) -Shadow mudslinger makes all merms spawn shadow tentacles like thule club when they attack on the turf (50% chance on hit, wurt gains this buff too) -teleport towards their target -all merms now have 2 healthbars Shadow Merm cons: -Requires a merm to die in order to function -without rifts there isn't much pure terror for them Mutated Merms Pros: -all of them are basically equipped with a bramble husk by default minus the defense -more on demand than shadow merms -brilliant mudslinger turns all loyal merms into mutated merms Mutated Merms Cons: -Requires a resource to use without the mudslinger -the mudslinger and pure brilliance can't be acquired without turning on rifts or defeating celestial champion The Shadow Mudslinger is definitely better depending on the boss given the shadow tentacles that are spawned and this buff applies to all merms, however shadow merms are only relevant if a merm dies which might not always happen given that the damage among merms tends to be spread out among them during a fight unless a boss has an AOE attack, but every mutated merm being able to deal 40 damage to every enemy around them when damaged is nothing to scoff at when a boss has minions, this damage also only applies to enemies and not allies so you won't randomly take 40 damage because a merm took damage and while moon glass and moonstone aren't the most common resource they're not especially hard to gather either and while their mudslinger is a little worse the mutated merms main advantage is always active rather than being sometimes active for 2 minutes on specific tiles that a boss might not stay on (bee queen certainly would move off of it)
Since the sheds and the dishes don’t go away after resetting the skill tree, I just built what I needed to build and rest the skill tree to get wetness shield and max out king’s hunger.
slasher how about re-doing the civilization experiment from 1 year ago except each nation is far, far away from eachother in an archipelago? that'd be interesting since there would be a lot of footage, and in that way the experiment can last more than 21 day lol
