What are some tricks you use to make building better and easier?
Hi mustered plays I am a small CZcamsr do you have any tips
I name all my devices, so when I am trouble shooting it is easier.
I use creative tips to help me make a creative map. Can u give me more tips pls?
and when building big things, i make the outline then use walls and floors
For the reset rotation on xbox all ypu have to do is hold down the button you use to switch rotation axis
I was just building something that was flying, the last tip really helped a lot!

Fun fact about the tab reset rotation thing. When terrain has those tiny gaps between each other, resetting the rotation and putting it back will fix that even if you'd never rotated the piece in the first place.

I was making a map earlier (I still am) and I’ve been using the player spawn pad then starting the game to go test something but now I know you can use the current location setting, thank you so much Mustard for sharing about this setting 👏

6:14 yea I love that tip I did it before you did the vid it really helps people with maps
if your tired of constantly spam clicking to get to a specific channel on a device (it takes ages)
then use the arrow keys on PC. Its a little finicky but still works and is SO MUCH FASTER!
On console, use the D-Pad and the Stick at the same time going in the same direction. Using multiple controllers will make you scroll even faster!

Hey I’ve got a question: whenever I rotate walls enough [building to prop enabled], why do the walls slowly become slightly unaligned? Like I’ll flip the wall around 8 clicks yaw-wise and it’ll be slightly crooked. Resetting rotation helps but not really if you have to rotate the wall piece anyways
the one about taking builds to another map will be sooo useful thank you!

a tip I have: If you want to playtest your maps faster, you need to set the game start countdown to “none” and then on the my island settings go to the “ui” tab and put every countdown related thing at the top of the settings to the lowest or none. this combined with the “spawn at the current location” setting you showed can make playtesting a whole lot faster
These were so helpful i went and fixed all of my maps loll
It would be cool if we had the abilty to make zones that you want to cut or copy like in LittleBigPlanet

ive been using that cut strategy for so long, good thing you showed it to the community!
I hate the fact that sometimes, epic breaks the cut feature and that when the player cut something then cancel the cut, the stuff selected disappear completely until you relaunch your session

Really helpful
One important thing to know, if a tile has been placed once with build to prop, turning it back into Br grid will not give it back the Br properties and you won't be able to build/place traps on it.
Also, if your map allows players to destroy stuff, make sure any floor/stair piece placed on any custom terrain piece is on build to prop on, or else if the player breaks it, there is a high chance it breaks the terrain underneath at the same time

If your build ever has tons of Material supports for builds (Wood, Stone, Metal) Use the gallery which is ofter used for death runs. These walls cost less in the long run for each time a build is placed its +20 while the other one after initial place is only +3.

hey mustard plays first off thank you for being such a big influence on the community and where creative is going and i will be using 2 tricks from this video that will finally make my life much easier but i wanted to add to your one tip tip #9 the dark tilted element is a great item to use and i did use it for a while now but had more recently another 2 creators suggest the use of 2 other items first i will explain why..... the element allows you to build off of it and can make many things off of it during creative but during game type unless your looking for this setting the element wont allow building to it during game mode and alot of the time i have had it goof and someone jump onto the build n it completely implode on itself now i was suggested rom the rig base prop gallery the middle section of the ship can be placed and built of of and will allow building off of it during game play, but again evedn making it as small as possible can still be more cover up then your looking for so now if you go into galleries and select terain from the left side of your screen then select any galleries that have this one same piece in it example in the arid cliffs gallery third row of props the terrain peice right before the one tht has grass on it can be shrank small and built off of and supports builds during game type n there are other galleries that have this same piece in diffrent textures to help hide the buildings core anchor point "fun fact - those terain pieces or one of the best also found to use to make planets for planetary maps" hope this may have been a help too you as you have been since i started building 3 months ago keep up the awesome creative work and all your video content creation much love n respect martys gaming

When build to prop came out, i didn't know it was a thing and I thought it was way harder to build until i figured it out.
Whst button do u press to make the builds green so you can copy multible at a time?(on the default keyboard and mouse setting)
(Tip/trick) when u giving items the item spawner u put items u wanna to the separate spawners to see what u have and when your ready take those picked items and put it in spawner u originally wanted to, maybe it's more work but u won't mest up anything
You can reset the props to original point on controller aswell

You can also change your settings without opening quick menu on your phone, just use the buttons it tells you to use on your left when your phones out

Question. How can you be INVISIBLE while building. To get rid of the avatar guy onscreen? And get rid of the Phone rays?
Mustard Plays showed a glitch with the COW. But that was fixed by EPIC
There’s 4 or 5 other INVISIBLE glitches out there… but have all have been fixed.
Fortnite needs INVISIBLE to be an option in Creative!!

Hey, I’m not sure if you reply, but i am new at building (on pc aswell) and i find my walls have no grid and it is so annoying because i have no squares to even see where to place it.
I remember when build to prop was introduced everyone thought it is a glitch or bug 😅
I thought it was a bug and I called it terrible lol

When i am selecting a group of objects, first, i count the amount of objects are there, then i select it all then look at how many things i have selected
It’s easier if you cut the object and pick it up then u can see if u missed any props and just back out of the phone and the build will reset

I hope they fix that grid snap glitch, it ruins alot of my builds.

I tried the background city gallery, one of the buildings said over a thousand memory but a copy is only 3, but when I deleted the original building the price of the copy went back to the price of the original. Why does this happen?
The 1000 memory is the cost of the first building so when you deleted the first one the copy became the first one
