- Hi all, In this video I attempt to fix the damage O2 sensor wiring that some critters have chew through and fray causing my circuit to be read as open. One of the many fixes of the car other than cleaning it. Come along and enjoy it for leisure or to learn more about the E46 platform as I am learning also. This is my first experiences with BMW so I'm still learning as a newbie. Enjoy.
How’s the engine with 251k miles? Mines on 257 k
The engine is still smooth, even with old oils and spark plugs and sitting for the past 3 years. I’m really amazed. Not a lot of power (like the type to slam you in your seat) when you floor it but I don’t know if it’s just how the 325 engine is. But overall it’s smooth
@@projectsbyj25 fair enough and yeah mines a 320ci ( 170 bhp ) version it’s plenty enough power for me being a young new driver here in the uk haha. These engines really are strong mine runs ok ish at the moment just needs a new crankshaft sensor as it’s failing. Oil consumption isn’t horrendous either!
@@dexietyy7922 oh ok. yeah mine just sucks the my oil pan is leaking and I looked up the job on how to replace it. Man it is a headache. So many things to remove first before even taking the oil pan off.
@@projectsbyj25 it will be worth it in the end when it’s all done. I bought mine as a project and it’s so close to being completely finished and to how I want it. Very rewarding when you bring a car from its death back up to something decent mines in much better condition now I had a minor sump leak too I fixed it by tightening up the bolts a tiny bit more
