Oh crap there prototyping an 84mm? Nice that's bad ass!
Had a customer make around 820whp wth the original TS. Very impressive little blower for sure. Video is on my channel some where
Great video! The 84 is making some power. Let’s throw the smaller pulley on!!!
I just watched the 84mm make 946whp on LS2 GTO
Can you gives us a little tour of how you guys do your tuning. Would like to see how that works!🔥
Cant wait to trow this on my GTO
What are y’all doing with the smaller head unit? I’ve been thinking about pulling my twin rear mount turbos and going with a torqstorm for my 70 cougar. Great video
8:56 🤯💪‼️
you can`t fool me = Mr HORSE POWER DEPOT ! = Try a HARROP SUPER CHARGER KIT !
Impressive
What BOV are you using? Chris told me today I should use a new one they are making that is larger than the 55mm. Or go twin 55.
Hell yeah
What’s the full setup on this car ?
Really impressive! What are the engine mods ? Stock rods and pistons ? Stock crank ? Gapped rings ?
What fuel are you guys using ? Ive been eyeballing the torque storms but was told the smaller ones wouldnt flow enough for my 408, an 84 though may be the way to go.
I wonder if this 84mm will fit in the 4th gen Fbodies. I was getting ready to order their standard kit until i saw them making bigger blowers.
I thought they were making a 91mm and 94mm.... I have a 76mm now on a built 402 LS3 in my GTO. Talking with Chris at TS he was saying the 91R wouldnt fit in my car..... I want to order one so bad to see if I can make it fit.
Yes they’re making those too. This is another one that they are testing out for right now.
It is the same frame I believe as those two just a different billet insert and wheel
Can you overspin this for more boost or are you already at the recommended rpm with the 3.1”?
I am not sure on the answer for this yet. I don’t know how much I want to push it just yet.
I guess they never released rhos 84R unit because I can't find it any where on there site
I have seen people needing to call and ask about it. I am not sure if they fit on all brackets or not yer
@@gapfactorygaragellc You are correct. You have to call them to order it.
Hey guys I have a quick question I had a quick question we're there more parts needed for the torqustorm supercharged besides fuel pump injectors and intercooler setup?
If you bought the kit from Mr bling that comes with everything to put the kit on a g8. Intercooler pipes maf sensor and a few other things. You could put a torqstorm on a stock g8 and run it with that kit. Everything else we have done to try to help make the car faster.
When are they releasing this supercharger I need it asap
There’s not a specific release date quite yet. I believe they want to do a little more testing with it and then announce a date!
How much boost did it make? And what size pulley comes on the ts84 I just upgraded mine today and forgot to ask.
Ours came with a 3.5 I think and have the 3.1 on and makes around 14psi
@gapfactorygaragellc I'm making right at 15psi on a stock block 4.8 with the 76mm right now I talked to them yesterday and made sure I got a 3.5
How much horsepower have you seen come out of that smaller blower I see they are rated at 700 or more I’m trying to see if I do all supporting mods can I get 800 wheel I’m in a 6.4 hemi going to be forged
The smaller 75mm blower is rated to 700 flywheel hp, you're not going to get much more out of it. I'd imagine the 84mm could do 800rwhp spinning it fast enough.
@@NavyNate123 is the 75 mm the smallest one they have in getting it for a 6.4 hemi billet grey for 3690
I am sure it’s making more power now then it did when it was on the dyno. We also have little timing in it right now also trying to keep bottom end together.
@@gapfactorygaragellc if you don’t mind what was the max wheel hp you were able to get before you decided to upgrade to the 84 mm
So yea. How much.. when they gone release it. And so u still gotta buy my own intercooler?
They should be doing a press release for it soon and the way they sell it will be how they sell the kits now. If your putting this on your Camaro I believe mr bling motorsports sells a intercooler kit.
👀.
How much for that blower kit?
Torqstorm should be releasing something at some point about it we’re just not sure when
Is it tuned by glanzer?
@@gapfactorygaragellc is this the one he was doing testing on? Something with the bearing or something?
No I don’t think so. We have only been able to be out at his shop once about three years ago. We now use a dyno here and he remote tunes.
@@gapfactorygaragellc oh alright , he was telling me about a torqstorm g8 that had problems in the bearing on the torqstorm or something along those lines lol how has your torqstorm treated you?
Oh nope not ours! Our torqstorm has treated us very well! I haven’t had any issues with the 75mm or the 84.
Are these numbers on a 5.7 or larger? Idk what came in the g8
The G8 came with an L76. Which is a 6.0 block with ls3 heads. Great platform.
Is it s stock bottom end?
@@gapfactorygaragellc nice how much boost. I just started boosting mine and wanting to see how much it takes to get me to 750
@@gapfactorygaragellcNice! How much boost did it make with the same 3.1 pulley with the smaller head unit?
With the smaller unit it was seeing 8-9lbs so definitely a good but more boost with the 84mm
Well no wonder I can’t get any help from TorqStorm they are to busy making you guys new stuff.
They're not just working on it for us. They've been working on a 91mm and a 94mm as well. They will have them all available at some point they're just working on testing them and making them right before they release them.
That was my failed attempt at humor. That is awesome. But I am still waiting to hear from them mine left me stranded at just over 2,000 miles. Minor issues. The idler pulley bearing decided they wanted to identify as something other than round. But I’m still loving this TorqStorm. Thank you for your videos.
Lol you're welcome! We love being able to give some insight on Torqstorm and just LS stuff in general. I do know they are a smaller company than they may seem but hopefully you hear back from them soon!
Damn that's a ton of torque that's pretty impressive!
