Looking into the crash location more due to comments coming in (I thought it was closer to campus / the start point originally) I do feel like she was likely followed - I will do a short follow up read on this asap though! Possibly due to the man freaking out about whatever he thought she knew that she didn’t - and the female not knowing how to back out of her lie so just going along for the ride hoping that they don’t get the chance to talk to her. Something along those lines I believe but again I’ll do a follow up so please leave any questions or points in the comments that you’d like me to reference during the follow up. 💙

How did this couple know that she was traveling to Vermont? Was she meeting someone or a group In Vermont? Did she know that the couple was traveling to Vermont or going to the same destination that she was headed too?
Emily on Fox News recently interviewed her sister. First time I heard some things I never heard before.
I went to Hemenway State Forest this past weekend. I parked at the Big Pines Natural Area which is on rt 113 in Tamworth NH. There is a river not far in that is parallel to the road and a small pond further in the forest. Ashley can you pin point closer to where Maura is? Is she near the river or near the small pond? I will go back and look further if you can narrow it down. Thank you.
If I may, I would like to request a super crazy famous MP case, Amy Lynn Bradley. She disappeared off of cruise ship. A lot of theories. A super stumper. Thank you for covering Maura.
I grew up in the next town over from Maura. I honestly didn’t know about this case until I dove into the true crime world. Now Maura and her case are constantly on my mind. I’m going away for my birthday (wow just realized it will be 2/10-the day after Maura disappeared) and I will be staying 3 minutes away from where she disappeared. I’ll be going to her crash site to pay tribute and I’m hoping while I’m there I can pick up on anything. You’re amazing and thank you for doing this. My biggest fear is cases like this going cold. Especially, when it’s someone from my home. You are SO talented and keep doing what you do 🖤

Her sister Julie has recently started a podcast on spotify called Media Pressure. This story is so strange its stuck with me for YEARS often think about Maura. I hope one day the family find peace and answers. Its been way too long.

OH MY GOD. I’m from NH and have been following this case for years. I had a dream/vision that it’s a (big guy - bigger than Maura) that’s she’s friends with a nickname that is in her friend group. That picked her up. And he had bad intentions from the start.
I saw her in an old Ski House (UMASS) - if you walk through the kitchen into the back yard of the house she’s about 3 feet under the tree.
She said that the police walked right over her and missed her.
I have a whole file I’ve sent to journalists through the years - but I could never word it in a way that sounded credible.
Like, she came to me in a dream and told me where she is under the tree at the UMASS ski house so her family can find her before her dad dies.
Oh my gosh, the girl in the back you saw betrayed her and was the one who was the instigator in the situation but she never had the courage to tell the truth.
Did you see suffocation? I felt that the guy tried to hit on her and she rebuffed him so he strangled/suffocated her on a couch/or a seat like a truck seat that goes all the way across.
Her sister is on TikTok but I’ve never reached out to her because until I really now I didn’t want to give them false starts.
That's kinda bizarre, how did they have the opportunity to place her there?

I am in Central Illinois. The Gee murders in Beason, Illinois were 9 miles away from me & the one they arrested for the 6 killings was a man who as a child was in my mom's home daycare growing up. I would love to see what you could shed light on in this devastating case.

SHE WAS HEADED TO VERMONT AND WASN'T ANYWHERE NEAR HOME OR SCHOOL. PRETTY MUCH BACK ROADS & ALOT OF SNOW AND FOREST. I LIVE IN VERMONT AND HAVE ALL MY LIFE & I REMEMBER THIS. I BELIEVE SHE WAS LEAVING NEW HAMPSHIRE AND HEADED TO A SPOT THAT SHE WAS FAMILIAR WITH IN VERMONT (I BELIEVE HER AND HER FAMILY VACATIONED HERE) NOBODY WOULD HAVE KNOWN WHERE SHE WAS HEADING , I BELIEVE SHE MADE A FEW CALLS TO MAKE RESERVATIONS BUT EVERYTHING WAS BOOKED & I THINK THIS IS HOW HER DAD MAYBE FOUND OUT THAT SHE WAS HEADED TO VERMONT. THERE WAS A SHORT TIME BETWEEN HER GOING OFF OF THE ROAD & THE POLICE ARRIVING - I BELIEVE THAT SHE WAS TRACKED INTO THE WOODS N THEN NOTHING. IF IAM CORRECT IT WAS REALLY COLD & WHEN SHE CRASHED SHE WASN'T PROPERLY DRESSED FOR THE WEATHER. I CANNOT IMAGINE THAT ANYBODY WHO WENT TO SCHOOL WITH HER OR EVEN FRIENDS FROM WHERE SHE GREW UP WOULD DRIVE BY HER WHERE SHE WAS.
That's exactly what I said.....her boyfriend was proven to be in another state when she disappeared so cross him off the list....she had an affair with a Professor so ....no way anyone from school randomly, coincidentally crossed her path that far from home and school ....if she knew them, they followed her....

Maura had a boyfriend Bill. At the time he was going to West Point. 2007 Bills sister killed herself. Also Bill likes to SA girls he was arrested in 2011. I don't think he killed her. But, I think she he was running from him.
@@lindsaycurley1271 I've followed Bill in the years since her disappearance....he's probably a sex addict but I don't think he had anything to do with her disappearance...she was looking for housing beyond the area she crashed her vehicle.....some suggest she was pregnant.....Bill or the Professor the father ?!?

@Ashley please try and hone in on the spot where Maura is. I went to Big Pines Natural Area in the Hemenway State Forest. Walked all through the woods and on the Betty Steele and Peg King Spur trails. There is a river with a bridge you cross over. You said it was near water. I have been there twice searching. If you can pin point a landmark I will go back and search again.
I think maybe try to do an updated video. It had come out at one point she was with her coach or professor and the wife found out and she asked him to leave her. He denied it but she told her best friend!

I’ve always felt this was a 5uicide. My best friend of 32 years killed himself 5 years ago. Not a clue he ever thought about it ever. His family was my family and we couldn’t to a why. It made no sense. So it’s a possibility. The person driving by obviously adds foul play. She was 25 miles from where her family would stay so the person driving by could just know her because of that. Stretch but possible.

Maura’s case hits me hard because we both grew up in the same area of Massachusetts… her family still has no idea. Charlie Allen is missing since 2007. If you could please do a reading he disappeared from Umass Dartmouth same school as Maura but a different location.
I grew up in Rockland and went to UMass Dartmouth but back in the1980's my son was there in 2013 during marathon bombing.
SHE WENT TO WEST POINT. WAS ASKED TO LEAVE. SHE MAY VERY WELL HAVE HAD A SCHOLARSHIP. they've done many searches for her but never found anything.
Maura’s ex was in the military. He’s kind of an angry guy….
Her dad has been looking for her since this happened. He's desperate to learn anything.

She was 3 hours from where she lived whens she crashed. How big is the posibility some car drove by with people she knew????

I studied this case intensively for two weeks. The conclusion that I came to is this: Maura got pregnant by her military boyfriend. But his mom is a Christian & very strict & didn't want this ruining her son's career. So Maura agreed to go to a special hospital in Vermont to have the baby. Her dad gave her $4000. She ditched the car & got picked up by her friend. After she had the baby, she got on a bicycle & rode into Canada, where she lives now. Her sister in Maine has the child. The boyfriend moved on & got in trouble in Maryland for raping a woman. Her family knows, but they're not talking.
Right....... the boyfriend was in another state on dury. Could not have picked her up
