- This photo slideshow features the Constructo 1:94 scale model of H.M.S. Victory, one of the most famous warships of all time. It took four months to complete (working every day) and requires a great deal of skill and patience. Built by Thea Bakx during the winter months 2014/2015 in Albufeira, Portugal. Her advice? Don't attempt this if you're an absolute beginner!

It took me 3 years to build a simple sail-era wooden fishing boat..... The details drove me crazy....BUT, I did it. I'll never try something like that again. So, 4 months is like LIGHTNING speed: especially for a kit with this level of detail. Congratulations to Thea Bakx for her monumental effort and dedication. You ROCK !!
A great work and masterpiece
it looks sick!
This help me for make my model
Hi,how did you plank deck, did you cut it,or use pencil?
Hi, thanks for your interest. The planks were all cut (just like a real ship's deck) no cheating with a pencil!
4 months is quick. Iv'e spent 2 years building the U.S.S Constitution!
Loool I'm building it now
What is a good beginner kit from constructo? I really like the La Flore!
I have only ever built HMS Victory, but the La Flore model from Constructo looks easier to make. My second (and more difficult) attempt at HMS Victory was using the Caldercraft kit: see my other video "HMS Victory (Portsmouth) + Caldercraft Model").
Schöne Arbeit für einen Anfänger. Leider etwas ungenau gearbeitet.
all that work to leave it in bear wood..
It wasn't entirely "bear" wood (grizzly bear?). The model was commissioned by a gentleman who specifically wanted to be able to appreciate the beauty of the different types of waxed and polished wood. Paint was only applied to some essential areas (as you can see in the photos). Thank you for your comment.
