I will miss Pete. I also love this performance the most because of John's growling, wish he did more with it.
This year was also the year of the volcom tour with Mastodon headlining and Baroness, Between The Buried and Me, and Valent Thorr.
These two songs were my exact introduction to Baroness. I bought blue record right there at the gig lmao.

I saw these guys back in april when they toured with mastodon.
They easily could have headlined that show.
Always go back to these early shows! Amazing & glad they are still up!

Still I think that saying they sound like Mastodon is selling them short. They have a style of their own and I like it a lot more than Mastodon, actually!
They are one of my favorite bands since I listened Blue Record, and they deserve a lot more respect and recognition than what they have at the moment, at least in my opinion :)
This is 1000x more powerful than "Shock me" or "Take my bones away". Red and Blue albums are two of the best goddamn albums ever created.
Just saw them live last weekend. Pittsburgh with their newer guitarist Gina and they still kick so much fucking ass live! Great fucking band!
These two songs are what got me hooked on Baroness.

God I can't wait to see them live, last time I had the chance I missed it because I didn't yet know how awesome they are. And the next album. Can't wait for that either.

Mastodon is a great band but I think Baroness is even better.
