Ohh Rachel what a lovely video you have done . I felt as I was there . Last time I was there was in 2019 , then Covid hit us & the year after 2021 my Darling died of aggressive cancer with in weeks of being diagnosed. So till I can go again as I’ve elderly Westie & he’s my world , I have to enjoy hearing about it from my friends . Now you’re videoing it , it’s like I’m there .Thank-you young lady & I can wait to see what you video over the next couple of days & then maybe you’ll,show us what you bought too , when you get your breath back ., enjoy tomorrow as well . Sorry for your loss. Blessings to you for putting your Westie in such priority over other things you enjoy. I was the primary caregiver of our aging and ailing sweet doggie -- she was my unofficial emotional support dog and I was her emotional support person; we were inseparable, if she was not also invited somewhere, I would not go. All the best to you and your Westie.
I live in Canada so I can never attend. I about lost my mind with all the beautiful hand project supplies! PHENOMENAL

I was there today, my first time attending. I would have said hello, but I didn't see you. I went to Barry's fabrics yesterday and a fabric stall at Birmingham market. I've spent a small fortune altogether! But I'm very happy with my purchases. My favourite buy was from the market stall, of mid century chairs, I love it and very reasonably priced too. Looking forward to seeing what you bought too. :)
This was such a treat to watch. I would love to go one year but this is the best alternative! So many gorgeous quilts and fabric to buy!🥰

I was there and said hello and you really brightened my day too. It was such a great day, I took my daughter for the first time and she loved it too. She's not a quilter but loves making the toys from kits. I was exhausted at the end too but had a long journey back to Somerset afterwards. I got home, made a cup of tea and looked through all my bargains. Have a great time back at the show and I can't wait to see what you've bought.

I love Jen Kingwell patterns! I’ve made Winki Stars - it’s sooo many pieces but so satisfying. You can machine piece it and the templates are still useful for accurate cutting. I did hand piece mine. You can also hand piece the blocks then machine sew the blocks together to go a bit faster.
Editing to add - the pattern is in her book Quilt Recipes. Did they have the book too? It is my favorite quilting book ever. So beautiful.

Hello Rachel, so wish I’d seen you yesterday to say hello, I did keep my eyes peeled. I had to catch my train back to North Wales and that’s when you were probably filming. What a fabulous festival it is. I did two days a few years ago when I last came down but thought it would be too dangerous😁this time. The exhibition quilts were amazing, some extremely talented people out there. Look forward to seeing your purchases and thank you for filming this as it’s always good to look back on. The critters are too cute and i would love to make each and every one of them! I'm hoping this is what Houston will be like when i get to go there in October for the big show there. Great video and can't wait to see the next ones. The fabrics look awesome as do the projects. It would be hard to just pick one to bring home to work on! ~c

What a fun time we had with you viewing all the lovely fabrics and kits. Part of me was desperately wishing I could be there with you, but the other part was grateful for my bank balance sake! I have the Winkly Star pattern and templates by Jen Kingwell. It was love at first sight. I haven't started it yet as I am determined to finish a couple of other projects before I concentrate on it. But very excited to start it.

Hi Rachel, thank you so much for taking us along with you it really was so much to see I haven’t been to a craft show for years. Going for more than one day would be very dangerous for me 😂 I wish I lived closer but Australia is just a bit to far to go shopping and I’m not sure how hubby would go that long with the kids 😉 have fun and spend heaps, looking forward to seeing what treasure you buy ❤

I can recommend all Jen Kingwell patterns coming from Melbourne I am blessed to live close enough to have done a few workshops at her beautiful shop in Torquay. I’ve also done a few BOM’s with her her patterns are wonderful especially if you like scrappy quilts and hand sewing, though many can be done on the machine too. I’ve got that pattern in my todo pile.
That's amazing, you are so lucky. They had sold out of most of the patterns when I went back. Which is great for them, but not me 🤣

Wow! Such beautiful things. The quilt shows that I have been to where I live in Canada are not that big and have about 6-12 vendors depending on the size of the venue, usually the local small town arena.

Thank you so much for the video, I love going to the Festival of Quilts but the cost of the ticket, the parking and the petrol to get there is very prohibitive now with the cost of living, I feel like I have been.👏
One day, that would be a bucket list to come to the uk and see festival of quilts. Bit far from New zealand. I love the alice caroline, lilly rose, luna from cool crafting. Would like to see debbie shore and the redwork fabric place with the sweetest rabbit purse. Hope you buy lots and will wait for those videos too, have fun

Yeah quilted shoes.. they were amazing. It was a kit that included the soles, eyelets, and other bits you needed.
